The 10th floor offers a wide view. In the evening when there are sunset colors, it is particularly beautiful. Just take a casual photo with your phone and it will be great. The hotel is located in Shangxianji. Once you leave the hotel, you can find plenty of dining options. It's just a walk away to Sandai Island. When you come back in the evening, sit in the tea room for a while and enjoy the night view. It's very comfortable.

The laundry equipment is quite new. It's convenient to separate washing and drying. The viewing platform on the 10th floor has a wonderful view. Just as the sunset was setting, I took several photos and posted them on WeChat Moments, but everyone was asking where it was. There are many local老字号 around， and the menu changes every day from morning till night. The room facilities are new. In the tea room at night， I made a cup of tea and enjoyed the night view， reliving the whole day's meals. It was very pleasant.

The self-service laundry in the hotel is really very convenient. After several days of traveling, finally I can do some laundry. The viewing platform on the 10th floor has a great view. When I came back in the evening, I happened to catch the sunset, and I took several photos which were all very beautiful. The location is in Shangxianji. It's very close to Yongqingfang and Shafa for dining. Just a few steps away is a famous old restaurant.

In Shangxiajiu area, you can find everything you need right outside. The decoration style suits my taste; it has a bit of the old Guangzhou feel. The location is fantastic. When you're tired from shopping, you can just go back to the hotel and rest. The waiters all greet you with smiles and explain things in detail when you ask for directions. The corridor is beautifully decorated, and many people are taking photos there.

The room was dirty and small. I didn’t mind the small room but the filth was horrifying. Walls were stained and the bathroom was filled with mold. Faucet with giant paint chips. I couldn’t help to be grossed out by a dried booger below the wall of the vanity mirror. This is definitely not a 4 stars accommodation. The comforters were disgusting yellow and dirty. I was glad the shop downstairs sold disposable bedsheets. There were roaches in the dining area when we had our breakfast on the first day. The staff were nice and accommodating. I can’t believe Expedia allow this place to be categorized as 4 stars hotel. Do better Expedia. All the good reviews are fake and were exchange with free vpn.

Very clean room and the staff were lovely! It’s in a great location (the pedestrian street), and the walk from the nearest metro station is safe and takes you past lots of cute street food spots. The moon bridge and some bars are very close by too. Breakfast was a great spread of various Chinese dishes, but if you miss that, it’s not far to get to Shamian Island and a bunch of other sights. There’s an all day vending machine to get simple snacks and drinks on site. The rooftop is really cute too - the staff will bring you a free pot of tea once a day. Decorations were lovely and tasteful, old Cantonese vibes. A great stay!

For my first trip to Guangzhou, I really wanted to experience the authentic Xiguan style, and choosing this place definitely didn't disappoint. The hotel is tucked away in an old street, full of character. Following everyone's travel tips, I spent the day taking photos at Yongqing Fang, explored Shangxiajiu for food and shopping in the evening, and ended everything perfectly with a pot of tea on the rooftop. A perfectly planned day!

The hotel's location is basically a culinary hub—within walking distance, you'll find traditional snack streets in the old town as well as trendy creative restaurants. Upon entering the hotel I was greeted by a nicely themed chinese hotel. My check-in timing was supposed to be at 2pm. When I arrived at the hotel, the room that I booked was not available so they "upgraded" me to a bigger room. I can't say I like the room. Corridors were a little gloomy and dark. The rooms were alright though. They were clean. What I couldn't stand however was the sewage smell that emanated from the toilet, and it was really really strong. Since shower area was small, toilet bowl would be wet after bathing. One thing really strange that happened was that when I used the toilet in the morning, the toilet bowl seat and ground was rather wet again, like someone had taken a shower an hour or so before. I remember clearly that I used the toilet before bed and it had already significantly dried from our shower that night. Initially I thought that my friend had showered in the morning but she said that she had not gone into the toilet at all since after her shower the night before. Creepy. Other than that, the location was pretty good with quite a bit of food options and a shopping street just downstairs. There were also quite a few bubble tea shops too which was a plus! Note that as the hotel is situated inside the "shopping square", cars are not allowed in. We had to alight right outside Luckin Coffee. But it was just short walk away. There were military people patrolling so it seemed quite safe.

Great value for a 3-star hotel and the staff were very helpful! I stayed here a few times in November during my month-long China trip. The majority clientele are international tourists because you can easily reserve on 3rd party websites, and is located in a convenient location - Guangzhou's Old Town (Liwan). Very close to attractions in Old Town, shopping, food, and cheap DiDi rides to anywhere in the the city. Includes breakfast which has a good variety of items, free laundry service, and was very convenient to store my extra luggage while I went on overnight trips outside of Guangzhou. Walking distance to the original Tau Tau Ju restaurant for dim sum and Nanxin for the city's best steamed double skin buffalo milk dessert. Just a few things to be aware of: The staff knows limited english, but the use of translation technology makes communication easier. Some rooms have more wear and tear than others, but overall are fairly clean. No big deal for me since I was only there to sleep. Shower is over the toilet. The twin room is loft style where you need to climb steps to get to the second bed, and can be cramped with 3 adults, or if you have more than 3 large luggages. About half of the rooms faces an alleyway or the adjacent buildings so there will be no views or sunlight. To avoid this, request a room that is at a higher level and towards the back of the building.
