Great beach house

We love staying here! This is our 3rd year and it’s perfect for our family. The best part is that you walk outside and it is just steps to the ocean.

Spring Break!

Was a perfect setting for our spring break. Very comfortable for our 2 families, a set of four and a set of 5. We have stayed in the neighborhood before and love to selclusiveness of it and being right on the beach is always a plus in my book. The home is nice and can tell it is well kept and is very open and inviting. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic Getaway

The location of this property is perfect for a wonderful escape. It’s off the main drag and in a strictly residential neighborhood. The house offers direct beach access and was very comfortable. I hope to return!

Wonderful house and location

This property is in a great location and just a few steps to the beach. Much better than the crowds at Orange beach. Two very nice golf courses within just a few minutes. I highly recommend this property!

This was our first beach vacation & this property made it wonderful!! Amazing views, steps away from the beach and it was not crowded at all, perfect location! House was bright and beachy, had a everything we needed to be comfortable!

Amazing Family/Friend Vacation

We had 11 people with us and this house was perfect! There was plenty of room inside and outside! The location was perfect being right on the beach! We are definitely looking forward to coming again!

Did not want to leave!

The property had all necessities & the setting could not be better. We absolutely enjoyed our stay with family & old friends. Access to the beach & rooms were perfect for those older with slight mobility issues. We owned a condo in OB for decades & went out a lot, but here we had no need to leave, nor wanted to do so! We hope to be back for a longer stay very soon!

Incredible Beach House!

This is our second time at Sunset Shack. It was great to see the updates. Beautiful view of the ocean, just steps away! We love staying here and look forward to it being our yearly vacation spot. Thanks, Rafi, for being so responsive!

Fantastic Beach House

The house was amazing. Super clean when we arrived and it's right on the beach. Full kitchen with everything needed to cook/eat. Fort Morgan was beautiful and so peaceful. The house is located on a private beach so it wasn't crowded and was very family friendly. We will definitely stay here again in the future. Absolutely no complaints.

Better than Advertised

This is a perfect rental for family or friends that are meeting up for a beach trip. The beach isn't crowded in comparison to condo areas. Our kids loved the convenience and direct access to the beach. The pictures don't convey how much natural light floods the living & dining area. It really is has a great beachy feel and it was clean. The owner is very responsive and extremely nice to deal with. It really is a great place to rent!!

Beautiful Views

Sunset Shack has beautiful views. We saw dolphins daily and saw amazing sunsets. You can definitely tell the owners are updating some of the previous complaints between renters. There was fresh paint, a beautiful kitchen table, new light fixtures, comfortable couches, amazing gliders on the back porch and comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Location

The size of the house and the location were great. There were some loose and cracked tiles in the floors and some of the kitchen cabinets were a little worn. However, it was clean. We didn’t do any cooking, so we can’t speak about cooking utensils and cookware, but there were plenty of plates and glassware. The location is great, and the beds were very comfortable.

Great Beach Trip

Beautiful house, beautiful location. Deck furniture could use some upgrades. Living room/dining area needs some windows coverings. Overall great trip and beach just steps away from the front porch. Lightning storm over the ocean was fabulous! Will definitely be back!

Comfortable, clean and well maintained

Two separate families with a blend of teens and kids stayed 5 nights comfortably. The porch has great views, all the appliances, televisions, remotes, and lights were working (except the ice maker, no big deal, we didn't mention it during the stay). There's plenty of places to sit all together and enough space to spread out too. Everything was clean and tidy in good working order. There was some delay in getting our door code sent over but the owner responded quickly. We live this house! It's a bit of a drive to the activitues in Gulf Shores but the views and ease of access to the beach was our main goal.

Great location and beautiful view

This location was perfect! So close to the water and private…not overcrowded at all! The deck is wonderful with the best poly wood glider rockers! Perfect place for looking at the water! We can tell the owners are in the process of updating this house. The bathrooms, especially the master, needs an update along with the kitchen. Just a couple of minor notes…they need more utensils, especially forks & spoons. And the knives that are used for chopping, slicing, etc need sharpening or they need to buy new ones. Once everything is updated, it will truly be a wonderful place and we would definitely stay here again.

Location can’t be beat !

This house is right in the beach ! So convenient for us with younger kids ! A few downfalls … Upstairs hasn’t been updated since 1970, all outdated furniture and bathrooms are a joke . Only had 8 forks . Kitchen cabinets had no knobs on some . Downstairs has huge nice dining table and new leather couches . Outdoor furniture is lacking. Can’t see the view from the low Adirondack chairs. Nice taller chairs would have been good ! Overall it was great, but wanted to share about upstairs !

House

The listing is not what is in the house. The one bedroom does not have 2 bunkbeds it has 1. The pictures made the rooms look bigger than they really are. The floor is cracked in a few places. It needs updated all through the house. Wallpaper peeling off walls thats from the 80s. They didn't have any plastic dishes for kids to use. Not a fully stocked kitchen at all. The washer and dryer is a joke. The master bathroom is a joke too. Its small. We did enjoy the location of the house and the views. Also the house sleeps 10 maybe not 12. Cleanliness was good.

Beachfront, Great Views, Perfect for our family

Will book again. Will give you many pluses and a minus or two. Begin with the pluses. Beachfront, can see gulf while sitting in chairs and couches. Could watch dolphins from inside the house. Beach is not that busy. If you want less people this is way better than Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. Very clean and very light in the house. Nice glider rockers on the porch. Great sunset views from the porch. Dollar General just a couple miles away if you need anything. Beautiful beach and sand. Room in front of house to sit and play in the sand if there is to much wind down on the beach. We loved the location and house. A few minor dings but nothing you wouldn't expect in a beach rental. The minuses. I know why the house next to it has a gate on the driveway. It sets just off the end of a back street and since people can no longer walk down the neighbors driveway many felt the freedom to walk right down our driveway and beside and under our house to access the beach. Not acceptable. Something should be done to keep people from walking right through your cars and under your house. Not enough forks. You trade access to cheaper restaurants for less people and privacy. More than worth it for us Plan to book again however will probably look first to see if there is a beachfront house not at the end of a street perpendicular to the beach. Overall, great location and great house for our family. Would recommend and thank the owner for sharing your beach house with us. We had a wonderful time.
