The RIU is a great place to stay. The staff at check-in, the waiters and waitresses are all very polite and helpful. The hotel is very clean and well situated on Paradise Island.
As far as the food goes, the buffet has excellent food and something for everyone, whether it is breakfast, lunch and dinner. My only complaint is that they advertise five restaurants. We got there on Sunday late afternoon and tried to get into the other restaurants. The only one we could get into was the steakhouse on Wednesday, our last evening, so we could not experience any of the restaurants except one. The buffet was so good, so as disappointing as it was, you should not hold that against the RIU because of lack of access to all the restaurants.
