The location of the hotel can't be beat. It is on the harbour and the boardwalk. Walking to tons of restaurants, activities, and shops makes for an ideal location. It's also connects to the ped-walk which connects to the mall where there is a pharmacy if needed. Downtown shops and restaurants are also within walking distance. To top it off, the hotel is probably the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in and it is recently nicely updated.

Great location for the waterfront shops and eats. The rooms are well maintained and fresh. I found the bed very comfortable and the shower was great. The only thing I missed in the room was a safe but, beyond that one issue, I wouldn’t hesitate to come back to this hotel to spend more time in Halifax.

We spent 3 nights at the Marriott it was the last destination of our 10 day trip to Halifax & PEI-we thought we would treat ourselves to a really nice hotel but was sadly disappointed- there was nothing special about it -average hotel room- our view out our window was a roof - the only thing was it was on the waterfront - but for the cost we could have walked a short distant from the Barrington where we spent 2 nights at 1/2 the cost - we won’t be staying at a Marriott in the future !

We recently had a two-night stay at this property and have stayed there on previous trips. The rooms have been renovated and are clean and comfortable. The washroom sliding door was covered in hair and dust, but the rest was immaculate. We had breakfast at the restaurant each morning. The server was excellent, and the food was of good quality and hot. The outside of the property is set up with lots of chairs for watching the harbour and of course the is in a prime location. Despite our rooms facing the Historic Property patios we did not hear much noise in the evenings. The real standout for this location was the staff. The staff went above and beyond every day, especially the Valet staff. We reserved a water/historic property view room and was given a street view facing construction. The Valet helping us with our luggage sorted everything out. This hotel provided the best service I have had in years.

So glad we chose to stay here. Besides being a fantastic location the hotel was very nice. The meals and service at hotel restaurant were pleasantly surprising and lots to do in the area. Would definitely stay there again.
