perfect for overnight stay near Hobbiton

A bit out of town, but that was fine as I just wanted somewhere nice to stay that was in the vicinity of Hobbiton. The room was comfortable with everything needed and staff friendly.

Great spot

The motel room was very tidy and very adequate for our needs. Lovely shower. Management was very polite and courteous. The location was perfect with very little road noise.

Older style motel - very clean and very quiet. Towels smelt a bit unpleasant - they were fluffy and looked clean, but maybe some fabric softener or hot wash would help? Few stains on the bedspread which looked bad, but the bed linen was very white and clean. Would stay again.

1950s Motel

One bar reception on cellular, when we were lucky. And Wifi was web based, so the same. They had Netflix but also uses cellular to stream, hence no Netflix. Area was quiet, but building is old (a la 1950s). Musty smell in room. Do not recommend staying here if you live the 21st century.

The staff were very friendly, approachable and welcoming. The unit was a good size for the number of people with a good selection of kitchen supplies (plates, pots, cutlery etc) making self-catering an easy task. Beds were comfortable and the linen fresh. The only thing we found a bit difficult was the bathroom/toilet layout. however, having a combined bathroom/toilet room would give the same issues. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Colonial Court and would be happy to stay there again.

Well appointed motel. Despite being only a studio unit, it also had arm chairs for 2 guests. Unit was spacious and bed was comfortable.
