Conveniently located 1970s motel. Calling it a resort is quite a stretch. Lots of money spent on remodeling the lobby, sadly that's where it stopped. Rooms were mediocre at best. Dressing mirror was sitting on the floor, which required my wife to sit on the floor to fix her hair and put on her makeup. Lighting was miserable throughout the room. Sink had a large crack from top to bottom that had been repaired with silicone. Wall unit air conditioning was old and tired and struggled to cool the room. Parking is a problem requiring you to carry your luggage up multiple flights of stairs. The pool is nice. The 'water view' is technically correct, but you have to go to the far end of the second floor to see water a quarter mile away. Staff was a mixed bag with one extremely nice helpful person and one not so helpful. Maid service was terrible. They made the beds, but didn't empty trash cans, left 5 sheets of toilet paper on the roll and didn't put out a new one. They didn't refill the 'amenities' which consisted of coffee pods for the Keurig and packaged creamer. I'm assuming the advertised bar and restaurant is at the municipal golf course across the street. Whoever their photographer is is a genius.

I love Markham Hotel is very nice , very clean and very comfortable, all staff are great , and very friendly customers service, my friends and family love is very much and will come back here again soon 👍👍👍

My stay at Hotel Whiskey was good. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The only drawback really to the hotel is that it feels more like an Airbnb experience with no personal touch. There was no visible staff on site and no reception. Everything from check-in to check-out is automated which while convenient, makes the place feel empty. Also of note, parking in back needs to be improved but based on what i can see, it appears that may already be in the works.

Nice little home that’s located close to downtown. It was great for what we needed. It is not handicapped friendly, tho. Currently (May 2026), there is a high 1-step front door entry that could be easily fixed with a sturdy second platform step up from the nice front porch to make it easier to get in and out. It also has a nice upgraded single bathroom, but the claw tub is deep without a handrail and no suction in-tub bath mat to keep a person from falling. The rain shower is great however. Kitchen has good amenities, and the dining and living room areas are nice. Good amount of seating, large TV. Overall, for an older home, it’s nice and, a big plus, it doesn’t have a musty smell.
