Fun Spring Break Trip

This property was perfect for our group of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids) during our kids’ spring break. The game room was a huge hit and the view was spectacular. Communication with property management was very prompt. Overall we had a fantastic stay and enjoyed exploring all of the adventures in and around the city.

Beautiful cabin

This was a beautiful cabin with a wonderful view overlooking the mountains. The cabin was not hard to find and it wasn’t difficult to commute from the cabin into the beautiful town of Helen GA. Overall great property managers and beautiful spacious cabin. Loved it.

Great for a big family

We really enjoyed Lazy Bear Lodge. The views were amazing, and there was plenty of room/separate spaces for our multigenerational group. We had a couple minor things come up while we were there, and the communication with the property manager was excellent. They were very responsive and helpful. Helen is a very cute town, and this cabin is located just close/far enough.

Beautiful view in a mountain cabin

Plenty of room for our group. Kids loved hanging out in the basement. The kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed the toiletries and soap, sponges, dishwater tabs etc they provide. My favorite part was the huge wrap around porch with all the rocking chairs. Great place to stay close to Helen.

Great Place

Lazy Bear is a great cabin to get away for the every day rush. We hit perfecting time and caught the changing of the leaves - what a beautiful scenery. Just a few minutes away from downtown Helen which offers up its own fun. We will def be back in the future.

Family Christmas

We wanted a place to get away to celebrate Christmas as an extended family, explore a new area, and be able to all stay together. This cabin allowed us to do just that. Even though we had brought extras of a lot of supplies It was perfectly equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen and in the bedrooms: Plenty of blankets, pillows, and towels; plethora of pots, pans, and utensils. We would definitely pick this cabin again and recommend it to our friends.

Weekend girls get away!

We had the best time, the cabin was beautiful and clean! It gave you that homey feeling while being there also we felt safe. 5 girls in the cabin we were nervous but it’s so secluded and at the top of the hill no one came unannounced. The view was spectacular, so nice sitting on the porch in the morning and drinking coffee. It was a great experience and I would love to come back again one day!

Beautiful Cabin

Our stay at Lazy Bear was amazing, and the view is beautiful. We arrived at the cabin with a warm welcome - the cabin was dimly lit, and soft jazz music was playing on the television. Communication before and during our stay with the rental company was great. I would have given the cabin 5 starts, but the master bed was a little too firm for me, and the pillows need an upgrade. I suggest you bring your own pillow. Other than that, it was excellent. We plan to rent again and bring our family with us!

Beautiful Cabin with Great Views

We booked a last minute Christmas getaway on short notice and were not disappointed. The communication from the host was excellent. Everything was as described.If you want to stay near Helen but prefer a rural area in the mountains this location is perfect. Just minutes away from Helen but the cabin is fairly secluded within a quiet mountain neighborhood. The cabin was beautiful and spacious with plenty of games/activities to keep kids entertained. Plenty of space for our group of 7 without feeling crowded. Large open living area.We especially enjoyed the large main deck with a great view of the mountain ridge completed with an outdoor fireplace.The only thing that would have made the trip better is a longer stay.

Great Girl’s Weekend

Beautiful, spacious, clean home with an amazing view! All of the beds were comfy (bring your own pillows though if you have neck or back issues) A really easy drive into Helen. We recommend “Cowboys & Angels” for dinner and definitely check out Valhalla Spa for a massage or facial treatment. The house itself is off all dirt/gravel and some pretty narrow roads so keep that in mind when choosing a vehicle & planning the time of year you’ll be going! But plenty of parking and space to back in and out at the actual house. We used the recommended firewood delivery from Sheila and that was such a breeze and really nice to have fires every night! We were just three girlfriends this trip but I would absolutely bring my kids back during the summer to do tubing & fishing! Love the house and had a wonderful trip!!
