Such a beautiful hotel out in the countryside. The dinner was fantastic, the hot tub was one of the best I have been in. Very quiet, very quaint. Would recommend to everyone looking to stay out of the main villages!

Easy check in. Less than a block from a bus station and multiple restaurants and grocery stores.

We drove until we were afraid hotels were going to close and this was closest. No plan except to geocache nearby and drive on in morning. But if we were horse people, this was perfectly situated in pleasant area with several geographical beauties to ride to/by. Staff was awesome, but we saw them for only ten minutes. Kristinn, the host was amazing. We simply asked for a later check out and she gave us an additional 2 hours, no problem. Place was adorable, hot-tubs were hot, plenty of parking for us all.

We arrived at the ION hotel after 10 days of traveling the ring road of Iceland. We were in a different hotel most every night, and were a little road weary. As we came around the bend, and the hotel came into view, we were impressed by the ION's amazing architecture and cool integration into the landscape. Could not recommend this place highly enough. The check in was quick and the front desk attendant walked me to my room. The rooms all had a view of the river that runs behind the hotel and the mountain that overlooks it. Dinner at the restaurant was great. And the outdoor hot tub was a great place to relax and enjoy the northern lights

Super friendly checkin even tho we were late, gorgeous views. Not much within walking distance, but all other ways EXCELLENT!

Great place to stay! clean, good amenities, and easy parking. Walls are a little thin, so ear plugs to sleep might be a good idea. One of the best guesthouses for the price.

Clean neat room, great staff, great services! Room does not have tooth brush or paste, soap otherwise perfect. Location not close to flybus stop is a probably the only minus.

The hotel is conveniently located, tours pick up right outside the front door. The included breakfast was fabulous. Parking is included. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful. We will absolutely stay again next visit.

I traveled with my husband and 1 year old. This was a very clean place with a lot of space. We loved being able to do some grocery shopping to eat at our place at the end of the day. Great base - we explored Reykjavik, Snaefellsness peninsula from here. Wish I would have stayed here my first night as a base to explore the Golden Circle as well.

It’s a very comfy hotel, a nice breakfast and a nice little bar right by some good restaurants in Laugarvatn. It’s a good location along the golden circle/Þingvellir national park. The staff is very friendly as well. I also recommend checking out the thermal spa just down the road at Fontana Laugarvatn

Nice, clean, quiet hotel. Breakfast was great! Not too much around the neighborhood , but great for what we needed it for.
