We were in town for the Carolina Balloonfest and to visit some local wineries, so the location was great. Other guests were there for the Carolina Renaissance Festival which is just 30 miles south. Cheryl and Jason are warm people and pleasant hosts. The inn itself is historic and furnished accordingly. The breakfast is continental, which might be a concern for some potential guests but was not for us. Jerliyn and Mike were the most gracious hosts and made us feel like we were staying with family. The house is beautifully decorated and the breakfast prepared by Jerilyn was delicious. The attention to detail was amazing and the food and pampering was beyond any expectations. The owners were friendly and inviting. They had a refrigerator stocked with various sodas, water, and beer and a snack tray all for free. In the evening they even set out a couple of bottles of wine and pastry treats for the guest. When I mentioned that I was diabetic, they made a special trip to the store to get sugar-free syrup for breakfast. speaking of which, their breakfast meals were wonderfully prepared. it was like dining in a 3-Star Michelin restaurant just outside your room. The House is a beautifully restored 1917 period home with a very inviting and homely feel. Much better than a hotel off of the highway. Owners are very personable and greeted us on arrival. We were able to walk to a nice restaurant for dinner in the evening and enjoyed a great breakfast the next morning served by the owners.
