The room (the Marble House Room) was attractive and very clean. The hosts were friendly, easy to talk with, and hospitable. The continental breakfast was very pleasant. We enjoyed being able to walk to the historic downtown area and have a good meal at Cafe 220. Would recommend to friends!

The Inn is an immaculately clean, beautiful historic home with quaint rooms, lovely grounds and a staff that actually cares about your stay. Why would anyone stay in a chain hotel when you can experience a piece of history like this? Walking distance to downtown Statesville where you can find great restaurants. The Twisted Oak is an excellent choice for dinner and Gracie Rae’s is quite possibly one of the best breakfasts you will ever have. We will return as this is super convenient to the Hickory area.

Comfortable, clean, and convenient location in downtown Statesville. We were in town for the Carolina Balloonfest and to visit some local wineries, so the location was great. Other guests were there for the Carolina Renaissance Festival which is just 30 miles south. Cheryl and Jason are warm people and pleasant hosts. The inn itself is historic and furnished accordingly. The breakfast is continental, which might be a concern for some potential guests but was not for us. We will definitely stay there again the next time we’re in the Statesville area.

My husband and I stayed here for our Anniversary weekend. Jerliyn and Mike were the most gracious hosts and made us feel like we were staying with family. The house is beautifully decorated and the breakfast prepared by Jerilyn was delicious. We plan on coming to stay here again just to be in the house and not necessarily to see the local sites lol.

Our 1st Bed and Breakfast!

The owners were friendly and inviting. They had a refrigerator stocked with various sodas, water, and beer and a snack tray all for free. In the evening they even set out a couple of bottles of wine and pastry treats for the guest. When I mentioned that I was diabetic, they made a special trip to the store to get sugar-free syrup for breakfast. speaking of which, their breakfast meals were wonderfully prepared. it was like dining in a 3-Star Michelin restaurant just outside your room. The House is a beautifully restored 1917 period home with a very inviting and homely feel. It was like visiting a family friend to stay there.

Property has a lot of character and is very clean. Much better than a hotel off of the highway. Owners are very personable and greeted us on arrival. We were able to walk to a nice restaurant for dinner in the evening and enjoyed a great breakfast the next morning served by the owners. Overall a very enjoyable stay in a small N.Carolina town.
