I’m not sure how this hotel has 4 stars. It is in bad need of repairs and maintenance, from the escalators and elevators to the pool paint peeling up from the bottom. Our water pressure in the bathroom was so low I had to go wash my hair at a friends room in the Hilton next door. Fluorescent lighting in the rooms, no cleaning staff.. this was rough. We couldn’t even go to the hotel bar because the escalator makes such a loud screeching sound every 5 seconds or so that echos throughout the entire lobby floor. My friend found a bloody bandaid in their room and another friend found a long black hair in their shower (she has blonde hair). Fingerprint marks on all light switches and touch points- I think this hotel probably (hopefully) cleans the sheets and that’s it in regard to room turnover. I travel for a living and have never seen a Hyatt regency in this bad of shape. Stay elsewhere.

Beautiful inside the hotel and the outside grounds! Spa was gorgeous and relaxing! Scenery was amazing and ambience was peaceful! Friendly staff! Definitely recommended and will be coming again!

This was the cutest place we have ever stayed at. They had free coffee and tea and snacks in the rooms plus a Fireplace, DVD player and a lot of DVDs, and nice common areas with Fireplaces to hang out near. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were super nice and helpful. The bed was extremely large and very comfortable. There is a super cute walking trail and park right across the street. We will definitely come back.

Charming hotel in downtown Rochester, with a lively speakeasy in the bottom level for evening fun. Disappointed that there were no breakfast amenities — during check-in the hotel staff had said there would be muffins and complimentary coffee in the lobby in the morning at 6am. By the time we went downstairs to explore at 7:30am, only lukewarm coffee was available- big miss IMO. There are options within walking distance, so not a dealbreaker, but as someone who looks forward to that first cup of caffeine, I was disappointed. The room was charming but the bathroom sink, which was a corner sink with a corner mirror made getting ready difficult as there’s no place to layout your toiletries etc. and if you faced the corner you didn’t see yourself in the mirror. You actually had to line yourself up on one side or the other in an awkward angle facing a very small rectangle to actually use the mirror. Again, quirky, not a dealbreaker, but you do wonder if the person who designed the room ever tried to actually stay in it. But maybe that’s part of the charm?? I like charming, but I also appreciate usability and amenities,
