Honjo is situated approximately 45 miles (72 kilometers) northwest of the national capital Tokyo, and approximately 60 miles (97 kilometers) northwest of Yokohama.

If you have the time to spend longer in Saitama, make your way over to Ota to visit the Tenjin Yama and Daikoin Temple. Ota is 11 miles (18 kilometers) away.
Around 35 miles (56 kilometers) to the southeast of Honjo is Saitama, an important regional city home to John Lennon Museum, Saitama Stadium 2002 (Saitama Stadium) and Omiya Park. Saitama Super Arena and Hikawa Shrine are also good spots for investigating before heading back to Honjo.
