"We had an amazing stay here, it really does add to the whole safari experience as you feel completely out in the middle of the jungle. One night at dinner we even heard the warning call of deer nearby that the staff told us meant a leopard was near too, truly a once in a lifetime dining experience.
With this being more of a glamping like experience you do need to be prepared to have some bugs in the room. The bathrooms are also a little bit rough and ready with some signs of wear but again...

"I just stayed one night but was super well and kindly looked after by Christopher and the team. The area is a little more remote than I realised so worth planning ahead for that, but it's really peaceful and full of wildlife – 100% worth venturing out for! The villas are really nicely done up, modern and super comfortable. Definitely recommend as an excellent nature base."

"Ceylon Resort was an absolute pleasure to stay at! The gift that kept giving, the staff, the food, the location. The hotel. Would 100% recommend for all, the staff helped us with safari organisation, providing dinner as well as breakfast. An absolutely safe environment for all walks of life, even helped us fixed out tuktuk!!!! Would highly recommend to all, and couldn’t recommend more."

"Room was very clean, had a little bit of a strange smell when we first arrived and the bathroom smelled a little bit like drainage. We opened the window in the washroom and kept the door locked so it wasn't a problem. Staff is lovely and has a nice dog as well! We did the Safari through the hotel and it was a great experience! Thank you 🙏 "

"The first nights dinner was horrible cos we ordered the wrong stuff & lunch & breafsdt sandwiches were not so good. So the next day for breakfast we ordered Sri Lankan milk rice, string hoppers & Pol Rotti., chicken & fish curry, potato & dhal curry. It was absolutely super, excellent. The fruit was so good. It was to die for. The papaya especially."

"This is a primitive camping site. Yes the tent is large and there is an outdoor toilet and shower which is delightful but this is still just a camp site. No other facilities. There is no A/C and it can get quite hot in the tent. We had a wonderful candle lit dinner by the chef who also lit us a fire which was beautiful under the stars. Some holes in the tent need to be fixed due to mosquitos. "
