Cabin with kitchen, near San Jacinto Mountains
Our tranquil triangle is nestled in the forests of Idyllwild, CA, and is unlike any other! With dirt road access, you'll embark on a wild (and bumpy) ride to start your adventure in paradise. Your only worries will be whether to enjoy the spectacular sunset views by the hot tub, or while using the Traeger wood pellet BBQ on the new back deck. Perhaps you'd prefer getting cozy in front of a roaring stove, or maybe even by the double hammocks down below. The Lazy A-Frame is a truly magical escape!

***PLEASE NOTE*** We following Riverside County Stay at Home Orders. Until the regional stay at home order is lifted only essential travel is permitted. Please check CA covid essential work description to see if your trip qualifies. Discover the Lazy A- Frame's inescapable charm. She is a little A-frame mountain cabin at heart with added little luxuries around every corner. The Lazy A has been recently revitalized with a new back deck, front deck, side hot tub deck, along with new beds, linens, cooking supplies, and furniture. The magic begins when you unpack your lovelies into one of the cabin's two cozy bedrooms. Will you choose the main level bedroom with quicker access to the wine fridge or maybe upstairs for a more lofty experience? Both bedrooms are equipped with Queen sized beds, luxurious bedding, blackout blinds, and a mini-split system providing instant access to heat and air conditioning. Do you bird watch, hike, enjoy wildlife, snow adventures, or perhaps love to write, or just want to rest and clear your head? Write about it in our guestbook, or read about what others have enjoyed. Is cooking your jam? Home chef's unite! Our Cuisinart Air Fryer/Toaster/Convection oven can handle all of your needs! Combine this workhorse with our Instant Pot and Traeger wood pellet BBQ outback, and you'll be unstoppable! We also have a refrigerator, small 2-burner ceramic cooktop, Keurig coffee maker, and microwave oven. Our cupboards are stocked with all of the kitchen do-dads needed to make your A+ meals shine. Or be LAZY and pick up from the incredible Idyllwild restaurants listed in our welcome binder. Just don't forget to use the wine fridge while you are at it! Our WiFi is fantastic, so if work is (unfortunately) on the menu, you won't need to fret! Throw a few logs onto the wood-burning stove as your zoom backdrop and be the envy of your peers. Our living room area faces west allowing for some of the most spectacular sunsets you'll ever see! Enjoy the sunset views from the sectional sofa and take in the reflections dancing off our original stained glass feature. If movies are your bag, we have a 50-inch LCD flat-screen television for streaming flicks and TV shows through the Lazy-A Netflix account. There is also a DVD player and blackout blinds to set the mood. Use the cabin WiFi to stream music through the Bluetooth sound-bar. The living room can be heated by the centrally located wood burning stove and augmented by mini-split air-condition units in each bedroom if needed to take the edge off those frosty winter mornings and evenings. Enjoy our modern bathroom with its rainfall over-head shower, sink, toilet, and other amenities. Civilized, well mannered (and pampered) pups are welcome at the Lazy A-Frame. Keep in mind that we are nestled in the forest among other furry (less tame) creatures. All dogs must be leashed at all times (no exceptions) and picked up after to keep the wild animals off our property. The Lazy-A is perfect for a quiet secluded stay surrounded by nature, yet, is just a short 10 min drive to Idyllwild village, dining, shopping, entertainment, and all major hiking trails. We provide a parking Adventure pass to our guests. Don't pass up your chance at our peaceful and private escape! We also have installed a ChargePoint Electric Vehicle charger that guests are welcomed to use. Check us out on Instagram @thelazyaframe

5/5 Excellent

4th of July Weekend Getaway
We enjoyed our relaxing visit to the peaceful area of Idyllwild in the majestic forest & the very comfortable Lazy A Frame to escape the sounds of fireworks for our 6-year old Terrier, Winston. We all enjoyed the 4th of July peace & quiet. Josh was a very attentive & considerate host!

5/5 Excellent

A true alpine wilderness experience
I surprised my husband with a 4-day Valentine’s getaway at the Lazy-A cabin, which made for a charming base of operations for three incredible hikes: the Devil’s Slide, South Ridge to Tahquitz Peak, and the San Jacinto Peak Loop Trail. Although the cabin is located very close to the sleepy town of Idyllwild, it is quietly nestled in an area of Pine Cove that gives you a sense of real seclusion among the manzanitas, ponderosa pines, and other woodland creatures. The Lazy-A is small, yet deceptively spacious. The extremely large rear deck is great for taking in the panoramic view of the forest in the daytime or for stargazing at night. The large living/dining area is ideal for lounging in front of the fire or enjoying a good movie on the comfy sofa. We prepared meals every evening in the extremely well-appointed kitchen. We especially enjoyed the slow cooker as it enabled us to return home after a long day’s hike to a fully-cooked and hearty meal. It’s clear that Josh has his guests’ comfort in mind. The cabin was stocked with a bundle of firewood for the wood burning stove - which radiated ample warmth throughout the main living area. The bedding in both bedrooms was high quality and super comfy. There were plenty of extra conveniences: wine cooler, high speed charging stations, smart TVs that enabled us to access our streaming accounts, an abundance of extra blankets, and a brand new jacuzzi with some fun features just a few steps from the front door. As an EV driver, the level 2 charging station by the stairway leading into the cabin was the cherry-on-top for this true California wilderness experience.
