The room was beautiful, very traditional and really gave us an authentic Japanese experience. The only issues were it was inaccessible for those with disabilities, there’s not really ramps in ikoma, at least the route we took, we also has to walk down stairs to get to our room, there wasn’t an elevator. The only other thing was that we had a basement 2 room, which wasn’t bad but the door to our room was lockable only from the outside of our room, thus if someone locked us in, there is no way for us to get out which can be a little scary and sort of a fire hazard. We were only there for one night, but I wish we had stayed longer. The hotel is old and traditional, but the room is comfortable and has all the amenities you'd need. One of the best parts is that there is a private onsen inside. The views from the room and onsen were incredible, overlooking all of the town below and the nature around. Breakfast was also included, and tasted great! The town around is also very beautiful, and really quiet considering it's so close to both Osaka and Nara. Taking a walk to the nearby shrine is a must if staying here.
