It was our overnight halfway thru the Shimanami Kaido and it was such a wonderful place to rest. The views and especially sunrise are without equal! We regret not being able to stay at least 2 nights. The villa is equipped with everything you need to make your own meals, do your own laundry, lounge wear etc. They even left us a few beers, orange juice, specialty jam and honey samples and enough food for our breakfast this morning. We will absolutely be back and will stay more than a night! It has a beautiful, quiet location, and the villa itself is meticulously designed and well equipped. The soaker tub was wonderful after a long day of cycling and sightseeing. If it is available for your stay, just book it. We rode our bikes here while doing the shimanami kaido bike route and while it was a tad uphill (no worse than the bridges), this place was pure Zen. The view, the unit, just wow. If you don't have a car, make sure you buy some food/drinks before heading up as there is nothing for quite a distance.
