“Wonderful family and people and property. It is a budget hostel so please keep that in mind. Don’t expect something fancy. The owner makes it affordable and the fees are mainly to keep it operating to make it possible for people travelling on a budget to experience this beautiful country and the property is magnificent in tranquility. “The property is situated in a peninsula in Kalutara on a road with almost no traffic, a pleasant surprise in such a busy (and wonderful) city. The beach is lovely, but not swimmable because of strong currents. The room was large and bright. The washroom was clean, and the shower was awesome. “The hotel room which looks the same as shown in the photos provided is clean and new. The staff members are nice and most of them can speak fluent English. Our stay was comfortable. However, the hotel is quite far away from the main attractions as it is located in Colombo 06, but it was easy for us to take a tuk tuk to go to the main attractions and the fare was acceptable, like about 400 rupees.”
