This is a wondeful 130-year-old hotel right on 4th Lake. Everything is within walking distance and the Laughing Loon is a good place to have a meal, a snack, and/or a drink. If there is a negative, it's the stairs - if you cannot do stairs, then this may not be the place for you.

Great location and professional staff

We had a great stay between Christmas and New Years. The staff was professional and helpful. We had a nice view of the lake from the room and the bed was comfortable and the room was big enough for two adults. The Woods Inn is a great location for visiting the Adirondacks.

I liked that they had breakfast and nice room. It had the old fashion charm at this inn. It worked good for the location as we were there for the frozen fire and ice festival. We only stayed one night,but found nothing we didn't like. If you can't do stairs you might not like it, as their is stair up to the rooms. We had nice night there .

Lovely old inn in a charming village. View of the lake from the inn is beautiful. Bed was uncomfortable and some sprucing up is needed in the building. Kind and attentive staff.
