“Matera is a bit of a labyrinth, so locating rooms of a smaller establishment is a challenge. Family booked a different premise & found it even more challenging. We were advised to park & shuttle from the urban center, though there appeared to be some public parking nearby. It is located on the edge of town, more convenient to hiking trails than dining and siteseeing. Our room was on the small side, but very clean and comfortable. "The service was great. We parked at the parking lot recommended by the hotel, and there was a free shuttle that took us to the hotel. We stayed in a separate room, which had a bit of a damp smell. The room was about a 5-minute walk from the reception and the breakfast/spa area — it took a few time to remember the route. But getting lost in Matera is also a kind of romance."

"A restaurant is exactly downstairs of our room, so it was quite noisy in the night time from the guests sitting outside of restaurant. Also there was a few second noise from the electric box of the room every minute when we turned on the air conditioning. The location of room is very good, walking distance to Matera old town. We really enjoy to stay at Matera."
