We like the hotel, so close to attractions. Shuttle service is excellent! Breakfast is great. Room is clean and open floor plan. We would use it again when we go back!

Fantastic hotel located in the most historical area of Matera. Great views of the gorge and mountain across from our suite. Convenient location and walkable. Parking is offsite at a paid location as there are restrictions, however, the hotel staff picks you up in the van. Great overall with clean, spacious double room with loft space. Lovely breakfast and nice, helpful staff. Highly Recommend!

We stayed at the hotel with our family of 4. We were picked up by the hotel at a parking outside of the Sassi area. The hotel staff is very nice and friendly. Our suitcases were brought to the room and we were explained about all the main sights. Our room was amazing with a mezzanine and grotto feel. Unfortunately the bathroom was in need of maintenance, but otherwise it was a great stay!

The location of Brasiliani is incomparable, in the heart of the Sassi, but on the very edge of the ravine and the uninhabited Sassi area. It is stunning, quiet and walkable. The staff are lovely, and shuttle you from the car parking area. The breakfast is soooo good. Honestly, it was amazing.

This was the most unique hotel we’ve ever stayed at. The staff were most helpful and accommodating. The nice touch was while we were having a glass of wine on the terrace. The host brought us a complimentary appetizer.

An amazing spotlessly clean room. An Amazing delicious breakfast. Staff and Chefs were wonderful. My husband got up to pick some fresh basil from the plant just outside on patio ( Was so hot we ate inside ) To add to his fresh eggs and tomatoes ! We called Giuseppe when we arrived in Matera and as stated he was there in 10 mns to pick us up. Linens, bedding and shower facilities excellent, ultra modern! If you have any mobility issues all Matera might be difficult to maneuver around but if not it feels like you are in a movie scene. Thank You Giuseppe & Hotel Basiliani

Wonderful hotel in a great location in Matera. Each room was different and wonderful (we had four rooms). The staff was great and the transfers to/from the parking garage were perfect. We would absolutely stay here again!

Lovely breakfast, lovely hotel. Minor point the bathroom in room 125 could do with a lick of paint to freshen it up but overall anyone booking this hotel will be making a good choice in a unique location

This was our favorite hotel on the trip. The staff were great offering wonderful suggestions, arranging a tour and taxi to catch our very early train. They even have us breakfast before we left. ❤️ the room was beautiful. I can't recommend this hotel enough if you want to stay in the sassi caveoso.
