Iron Mountain Hot Springs Tours

For a day by the water with a difference, plan an excursion to the steaming pools of Iron Mountain Hot Springs. This spot is renowned for its mineral-rich waters.

Located in Glenwood Springs, this naturally heated water source is well worth including on your itinerary. But you'll find lots more to discover in this area. Glenwood Hot Springs, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, and Yampah Spa and Vapor Caves aren't too far from Iron Mountain Hot Springs.

It gets very crowded. Best to visit during the week. The pools are small, there are many of them, but when the place is packed, it's tough to find space, peace, and quiet.

If riding train and its late getting in town, know you need to walk to the hotel. Shuttle stos at 6pm. Pack light.

We went early on a Sunday morning. Loved it! Decided to go back that evening to finish out the day. Loved that the entrance fee allows you to come back the same day at no additional charge. My husband and I unplugged as it was our 35th Wedding Anniversary so we don't even have pictures but it was a WONDERFUL experience.

We went twice in one day - morning and evening - as the one entrance fee allowed full day use. -not too many people there in the morning, but at night it felt a bit too busy in some of the 16 pools. They sell food and beer, too, and we had a very tasty chicken wrap here. The price of $20 a day seemed good, but we were told they were raising the prices to $25 a day after a short renovation of the lockers.

A little more expensive than Glenwood, but exceptionally beautiful. Not somewhere I would take children as the majority of the pools are a quiet zone and no one under 5.

Much busier at night but still amazing
