We got an ocean view room but could barely see the ocean so not great. The food was good at the restaurants but they all closed pretty early. We were really disappointed with the rooftop pool, bar and restaurant because they didn’t open until 6:00 in the evening! It was an infinity pool with a beautiful view of the ocean but who wants to spend the day up there if the restaurant and bar aren’t open? This hotel barely got 4 stars from me.

Cristina the hostess was so kind and helpful throughout our stay. She is a real gem! Very clean hotel. Breakfast buffet had a variety of fresh fruit and natural yogurt, along with smoked salmon etc. Other breakfast items could be ordered from the menu. Almare is the definition of luxury!!! This was one of the best experiences we've ever had at an all inclusive resort. First, we need to acknowledge how amazing the staff was. The service was incredible throughout our entire stay and they were so attentive. Every single day we looked forward to seeing Karen, Alejandro, Claudia (and another staff member whos name started with an E but I can't remember it!!) at the beach beds/beach bar. They were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and we can't wait to go back and see them. Noe and Emiliano were also so helpful with every question we had and always did their best to find solutions quickly. The amenities are top tier, loved the spa. Also loved the food offerings at the rooftop restaurant Seasalt. Definitely looking forward to our return as this ticked all of our boxes.

This resort exceeded our expectations. Being vegan it can be difficult to find a variety of appropriate food when traveling. Once the resort knew, the chefs prepared special meals just for me every dinner. I have never had that kind of service. BTW: the food! So amazing, every meal. The staff were all exceptional; friendly, helpful and courteous. Emiliano, Christina, Noe, Edgar, Karen, Iliana, Roberto, Alejandro, housekeeping staff; I wish I could remember everyone’s names. Every encounter was pleasant. Alan the manager, introduced himself on our first day and checked in throughout to ensure we were having a pleasant stay. Room was clean and well supplied. Housekeeping staff kept it that way for our 2 week stay. The hotel is quiet, calm and so very restful. The decor is beautiful. The spa is fantastic and the staff there were wonderful as well. Would love to return here again one day.

The breakfast buffet is luxurious with the perfect blend of classic breakfast items, a beautiful fruit platter and classic Mexican dishes. Lunch you can order to your sun lounger or go to the restaurants. The poke bowl, pork tostones, chicken burrito and prawn tacos where some of our regulars and were always delicious. The staff were attentive and would always go the extra mile. Karen and Karim were both standouts for us and they really made you feel special weather it was there attentive nature or just their genuine interest in conversation. The drinks are also great, The mango margaritas were particularly exceptional. We honestly had the best time. The rooms are beautiful and bed was super comfy. My one very small criticism is there is nowhere to hang bath robes or clothes you want to steam (there's a steamer in the room) we ended up hanging clothes precariously on light fixtures but that was a very very small problem with an otherwise perfect room. And any issues you have the front desk are always willing to help and fix them for you quickly. We had problems with plugs in the bath and sink and were both fixed within a few hours. I'd suggest some small hooks in the room that would really help the functionality of the space. Ultimately you will not regret coming here it is a peaceful paradise.

The staff, without exception, were delightful - charming and helpful. Facilities were very good, the pool and beach were lovely but it would have been nice to have a few more Watersport options.Overall the food was very good - especially from the food truck and the pool bar ... but it is a shame that the menu in both main restaurants does not change at all. Also surprising was the fact that the steak menu was an extra charge ... and finally, that a bottle of quite ordinary wine was incredibly expensive

The hotel was nice. The staff was great, especially the pool and beach staff. The property is small, with no real activities or entertainment. The activities were morning yoga, and a crafts/pottery class in the evening...so if you enjoy a show or dancing after dinner, this is not the resort for you. There's no poolside games or music. The hotel is definitely not a 5 star property, maybe 4, and they have staffing issues. But...if you enjoy the beach, paddle boards, or canoeing, it's a great location... beach area is small but the water is calm and shallow.
