"I was supposed to meet a family member here, but their flight was canceled and could no longer meet me here in Japan. I needed to cancel this reservation because of this disappointing turn of events. I messaged the hotel staff during the window of time necessary to cancel without late-cancellation fees, however the staff did not respond to me until after that window had passed, and would not budge on their policy of charging me for the entire stay. I was very unimpressed by their business ethics...

This hotel is perfect. The rooms are clean and cozy, the breakfast is free and delicious, and the staff not only speak good English but provide the best, welcoming service. There is even some free curry/rice dinner as well. The prices are also affordable! I highly recommend Toyoko Inn hotels, there are many of these hotels around Japan and they all very high quality. Very helpful and supportive to change my room into a non-smoking twin-bed room from the other style. Economic room rate and great dinner site (Izakaya). One problem was to reserve a taxi from another town back to the hotel in the evening (This is not the hotel's problem but the area's one)

Although I only stayed one night to make a connecting flight out of Fukuoko in the early morning, the hotel was the closest not already booked. Beautiful hotel and amazing service. Would stay there again.
