Many of Petropolis’s most interesting sights are within easy driving distance of Itaipava, so it is a smart choice as a place to base yourself during your visit. Itapaiva Castle and the Teresopolis Handicraft Fair are amongst the many best places to explore here. Two other recommended attractions within a short distance of Itaipava are the Higino da Silveira Square and the Soberba Vista Square.
