Had another great stay in Ixtapa. Great location. Our unit had everything we needed. The property manager,Claudia, did a fabulous job of addressing some minor issues. Will stay again in the future.

Already booked next year

Wonderful condo facing the ocean, with all the amenities. Five bedrooms, many of which have bathrooms as well. Property manager and owner were both responsive. We were all very happy with the accommodations!

"We are a family/group of eight, and our stay was fantastic. The accommodation provided ample space for hanging out, cooking, reading, and even napping on the balcony. The cleaning service every second day was a great convenience. Additionally, we arranged for Dalia to prepare a delicious Mexican feast, which was a highlight of our stay!"

Family vacay

Amara 1102C was a great fit for our family. The granddaughter loved the pools. We had someone come in and cook one night, thanks to the property manager Claudia setting this up. The furniture was very comfortable, unlike a lot of Mexican furnishings. Claudia was quick to respond to our questions. We would definitely recommend this condo to others.

This one of my favorite condos that I’ve ever stayed in while visiting Ixtapa, I loved the furnishings and decor. Cleanliness was outstanding - and many items that are normally missing were there for our use. Thank you! We were especially impressed with Dahlia’s (sic?) cooking, she suggested new foods and replaced all consumables, coffee, food items, Gatorade, without ever being asked. We were spoiled.. could not recommend this condo any more highly.

Great place, highly recommended

I have no hesitation in recommending this condo. Good for large groups (we were nine and fit comfortably), beautiful views of the beach, and perfectly located close to shopping and amenities in Ixtapa. The condo is very well maintained and appointed, with anything that one might need on a beach vacation.

Perfect Piece of Paradise

Our family (a group of 9 between the ages of 17 - 83) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Amara. The unit was spacious and well-appointed making it comfortable for all of us to stretch out and gather together comfortably. The large balcony was perfect for watching the setting sun, spotting rays surfing in the waves, or to read peacefully while the sun rose. The property manager, Claudia, was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. We used the cooking services of Ana and her sous-chef, Miriam, for 4 nights and each meal left us speechless. From booking the unit through to our arrival, Bill was prompt to reply to my many questions and his suggestions for activities and restaurants were great. Thank you again for hosting us for an incredibly memorable family holiday. We would highly recommend a stay here and hope to return again one day soon!

Steps from the beach

We could not have been happier with this condo! We love the little community of Ixtapa and everything is just a short walk away. The condo itself is well appointed and has everything you need, Claudia the property manager is sweet as can be and the owner Bill kept us very apprised of anything we needed to know. Amazing view on a wonderful beach

Our stay at the Amara was pretty close to perfect. The condo was well appointed, the pool and beach were beautiful and not crazy busy (so appreciated on Spring Break!) and the weather in Ixtapa is warm and sunny every day. Highly recommend!!

Paradise with teens!

Second time staying at this condo and truly it’s the easiest vacation ever! Bill is prompt at replying and a breeze to deal with. The condo is so spacious and so nicely decorated. Kitchen has all you need for preparation, they even have a cooler and thermos to take to the beach! Claudia, the proper manager is amazing, she arranges for the fridge to be stocked with your grocery order upon arrival, answers all questions promptly, helped us arrange a cook to come in twice and make us dinner. Order the coconut shrimp! The space is also wonderful with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms it’s a dream for two families or extended family. The linens are good quality and there are more than enough bath and pool towels. We love how quiet Ixtapa is, makes for safe place for teens to head across the street into town for lunch or shopping. Zijuatenejo is also fun to go to, love the view of the sunset from Que casa Canta deck!

A perfect vacation location!

This was the 2nd time we stayed at the Mitchell's Amara home. We had a group of 9 and had plenty of room. I like how the elevators take you right to your door, instead of walking forever to get to your home away from home. It is close to lots of shops and way too many restaurants! One week is not enough to try them all! One of our favorite things to do was to watch the sun set every night on the balcony before going out for dinner. Claudia was super nice! She let us know that we could call her anytime with questions. She greeted us when we got there, and came by as we were leaving to say good bye, till next time! The staff at the bar/restaurant were great/very polite. We felt very safe at the Amara. The security guards were very attentive whether we went out walking or taking a taxi or swimming at the pool till 10 pm! The fireworks all along the beach on New Year's Eve were incredible! We hope to be back next year!!!

Positively amazing.

We have stayed in Ixtapa three times, at the Amara twice. This is easily the best stay we have had there. The condo is amazing. Bill has gone above and beyond to make the place feel like home. Leaving toiletries around the place. Having a key code for the door so you don't need to coordinate who has a key. Coordination with with Claudia to easily communicate requests. It was easily the best place we have found in Ixtapa. The condo is on the 11th Floor, with a great view over both the Amara pool as well as the neighboring hotel. If you haven't been to the Amara before, it is a relaxed place with friendly staff, guests, and permanent residents. We brought our two small children and they were welcomed by all there. We would definitely seek out the opportunity to stay here again.

Can't wait to go back!

This is an amazing property. The condo has everything you need and the location is perfect. The condo owner made the rental process very easy. We had 4 couples so each couple got their own bedroom/bathroom. This is a very family friendly property. We liked that the condo property would deliver 5 gallon water bottles so that we always had purified water in the kitchen. More than enough towels for large groups and housekeeping was easy to arrange and they did a great job. Many restaurants, shops, convenience stores, banks, and liquor stores, just across the street - all within 3-10 minutes’ walk. Very good security at the front gate and the beach. No one allowed without a wristband. Pool bar has snacks like chips, burgers, fries and quesadilla. Try the jicama and cucumbers! They have breakfast too. Staff at the pool bar was very friendly. Beers were around $2 US and drinks around $4 US. I had my share of Sangria with vodka….yum! Something to keep in mind about the Amara property (not the condo unit)…..no coolers, outside food/drink or music allowed at the pool. You cannot have drinks in any of the pools (not even soda). Rules at the adult pool allow you to set your drink on the edge of the pool but only in a small section near the bar. Also, the neighboring resorts and nightclubs do make some noise. If you are a light sleeper it might bother you. We just turned the A/C on at night and with the windows closed we were fine.

First class property with all expected amenities...wonderful staff

This is a first class property with a commanding view of the beach and the Pacific Ocean. The pools are large and immaculately maintained. At times we felt they were our own private pools. The Palapa is a great spot to pick up the stray margarita or two and relax in the shade. The unit is exactly as described. High expectations were met. Many solidly good restaurants are within walking distance. If you care to venture further, taxis are readily available. Wonderful weather, warm ocean temperatures, first class property with a terrific staff, amenities galore. What more need be said?
