Great place in a stunningly beautiful rustic setting just two miles south of Yellowstone National Park. Offers a range of lodging options, including tent and RV sites, rustic camping cabins, and cabins with all the amenities of modern hotel rooms, etc. Everything was so calm and peaceful. The view from our cabin was incredible. The only dining options outside of providing your own food are the nicer hotel in the lodge (with corresponding prices) and options from the convenience store adjoining the lodge. The service was interminably slow the evening we dined in the hotel restaurant. The fare was tasty, even if some of it was cold when served. We enjoyed chatting with staff members from all over the nation and from various parts of the world. There are some decent hiking trails that traverse beautiful terrain. I advise carrying bear spray if you go away from the main area. Mosquito repellant is always a good idea.

What is not to like at Flagg Ranch? Nothing. Wonderful all-around impeccable service, knowledgeable employees, beautiful surroundings, full services offered, and the premium cabins are just that - premium!

Headwaters was clean and comfortable and I would stay there again. We liked the cabin feel and the proximity to the parks. There IS wifi in the cabins. The cabins do not have multiple rooms, they look like a basic hotel room inside. You have to request housekeeping which was not told to us until our last day there. The restaurant food is decent but very expensive and very limited. I loved having a little stoop and rocking chairs to relax in every evening, but bring bug spray!

The property, room and dining are all extremely basic. They get to charge exhorbitant rates as there is so little choice . I see why RVs and camping are such a popular choice for exploring the national parks. The room was large but had nothing in it to give it any soul or make you feel at home. Definitely no pretty red blanket like the photos. As others have said, no TV, WiFi, refrigerator, AC, and unless you have AT&T, no cell service. The restaurant food is overpriced and unbelievably unappealing. I ate an overpriced and pretty awful chicken sandwich and some crisps from the store for dinner. The bartender was overworked and unbelievably grumpy. Would not recommend it or stay here again. In very large, very poor countries in Africa the national parks have better accommodation and food for a tenth of the price. It’s shameful.
