The staff was not around much. "Grab and Go breakfast" was bottles of OJ and packaged muffins. Room was a little "tired" though the king-size bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was small but serviceable.

The Whitney Inn is a charming and cozy retreat in a stunning mountain setting. Our room was perfectly equipped for a restful night’s sleep and a refreshing start to each hiking day. The on-site Shovel Handle Pub served excellent food and cocktails, and the outdoor fire pits with Adirondack chairs and complimentary marshmallows added a warm, welcoming touch. A perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and rustic charm.

I don’t throw 5 stars around glibly. Our stay was incredible. We had two kids with us for a day in Storyland, and they wanted to stay at the inn instead. Their offerings were thoughtful and personable, like we were spending the night at our favorite family’s house. We’re making plans to stay there again before summer’s out.

The property is in a lush setting, tucked away from the road so there is no traffic noise. I like that they have quiet hours so guests can sleep. Mark went above and beyond to help me get my luggage up the stairs.

Great place. Check in was wonderful and Joe was very kind. The room was clean and cozy and spacious. The Inn location is beautiful, located at the top of the hill with beautiful views. The building itself is so quaint. The pool is clean and I love that it is not out on the main road like many of the local motels and Inns. We were not able to enjoy the pub because it was closed the days we were here.
