What a pity for such potential?

Staff was on strike BECAUSE NOT PAID FOR FEBRUARY BY ORION AS AT 23 MARCH. Skeleton staff of six did an amazing job and must be commended. Lovely spot, but looks as though it will go to the dogs if Orion doesn't wake up. Are they in financial trouble?

Our first family holiday, was a nightmare. The room was dirty, the bedding and cot for my son was in a dreadful condition. The food was not what you would expect from a 3 or 4 star hotel.

Good value.

PLUS: Breakfast and dinner were excellent. The dining staff were attentive and friendly. The location and views were stinning. MINUS: The buildings and rooms have an air of being slightly run down, with maintainence slipping. (Room had fused light bulbs, AC not cooling, shower leaking onto bathroom floor.) The car park and drop off was a long way from the room and there was no offer to help carry the luggage.

Slidt ensomt hotel hvor der virkelig mangler styring og opgradering. Kunne blive en perle, blot manageren forstår at køre et hotel. Maden var ringe. Værelserne ok, men burde have en kærlig hånd. Fantastisk flot beliggenhed.

A lovely hotel in a stunning location. The staff went out of their way to make our stay really special - 10/10 for staff! Our room was huge with a great sofa, heating and wonderful views. The only way our stay could be improved is to have an offer of help with our luggage checking in and out, and if the communal areas of the hotel could have been warmer - we were frozen. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

Staff go over and above to make your stay amazing

Staff at Mont Auc Sources Hotel were amazing. I became ill during my stay and spent an entire day in bed. The staff assisted my husband in everyway possible. As the hotel is away from basic amenities my husband was unable to find the medication I needed in the area. The staff sourced the medication I needed from their own medication supplies and prepared special meals for me as I was unable to eat what was on their menu.

What a gem... just need to improve on housekeeping

Amazing stay with great facilities. Only issue is the room facilities - we stayed for 4nights and the sheets never changed (the bed was poorly made up daily!) and neither were the towels, even though we left them on the ground as instructed.

Awesome stay!

The food was great and the views amazing! The staff is friendly and caring! We relaxed and had a good rest, but also went for hikes and did a MTB trail in the area.

Drakensberg 2 day stay over

Overall the Hotel does it's best, Staff were always friendly. Two downsides where though, check in was slow and being told rooms are only available by 14:00 although Hotel was "empty", further dinner was mildly said a disaster with old old fried fish served of the menue, big disappointment. The area though is stunning. Again staff are all friendly and the room exceeded expectation for the money spend.

Staff with the right attitude.

Customer Service was excellent from the security gate lady who welcomed us with not only a big smile but also openess and clear explanations TO Brian at the front desk who bent over backwards to accomodate us despite the mistake I made with my booking. also the restuarant staff were amazing. all the people there had big hearts and also very accomodating. the lounge area service plus entertainment was great. good music accomodating all cultures and generations

Great potential but not there yet

We stayed in the self catering chalets.We had to be shown 3 properties before we were given anything suitable..The 1st 2 were in very poor condition and in need of a complete refurbishment.The manager was helpful and acknowledged improvements were necessary. The rooms at the hotel looked nice but the communal areas again in need of a lot of improvement.We did not eat at the hotel and had no inclination to do so from the comments in the visitors book. We sat by the v nice pool but there were no sun beds (only chairs)we had to use our groundsheet The location is fantastic and this could be a lovely hotel .We understand the manager is new and has plans to improve

Beautiful Hotel and Beautiful View

Spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at the hotel. It was a lovely stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and the Christmas Day Buffet was lovely! The scenery was outstanding! Beautiful part of the world!

Dyr buffé och dåligt wi-fi

Fanns bara hotellets restaurang att äta på. Där serverades en dyr och inte så god buffé varje kväll. Matsalen var inte trevlig. Varken mysigt på kvällen eller frukosten.

The stay was great the hotel is in a beautiful area and surrounding. It looked as well taken off as it was in the pictures. The only negative element was the restaurant the food was not so great and service was shocking.

Drakensburg Central

Dinner selection poor (only buffet) which is a shame as few to no restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. Noisy when conference facility is being used. Staff very friendly and helpful. Views of mountains amazing and gardens well kept.
