Live the High Life! Views, Hot Tub, Pup Friendly!

Welcome to The High Life, our NEW upscale mountain home. Located just 20 minutes from charming downtown Jasper and Amicalola Falls (the tallest falls in the Southeast), this beautiful modern-rustic home sits at approximately 3000 ft and features incredible long-range mountain views. (Please note that we are not part of the Big Canoe community.)

The space
Everyone wants to live the High Life! This beautiful mountain home has so much to offer. From the stunning views to the hot tub sunsets, the spacious open floor plan to the comfortable bedrooms, you will be thoroughly at peace.

The wheelchair accessible home features a ramp and 3' doorways for easy entry. Lots of parking too, with a driveway that comes straight to the front door.

We also have a 220 outlet available for EV charging. Just bring your own cable!

When you enter the front door, you know you're at home. A massive open floor plan, with an 18 foot high cathedral ceiling and a huge stone fireplace greet you, if you're not distracted by the unobstructed view through the floor to ceiling windows.

The kitchen has all modern appliances and is fully outfitted for any meal preparation with leathered marbled countertops with chiseled edges. There is a large island featuring bar stools for extra seating. A coffee maker and grinder are ready for you. Teas are also available.

Everything you need is available in the kitchen, from pie plates to make a fresh baked apple pie from the apples you pick at Reece's Orchards (a 15 minute drive) to wine glasses to enjoy a sunset toast on the deck. (Have we mentioned the sunsets?!?)

Being a dog friendly home, you'll find bowls and beds and toys for your furry besties, plus a gated run for them off the front porch with doggie pick up bags provided. There's also lots of hiking for your fur babies, but we will get to that!

The living room has a 50" smart tv on the hand carved mantlepiece with all the channels you can think of. And the fireplace? It starts with the touch of a button. We also have flameless candles that are beautiful throughout the room that you just light with a remote.

Comfortable leather sofas and chairs give you lots of room to enjoy the space, along with cozy blankets to snuggle up with. A dining table that comfortably seats 8 (just add the leaf) is ready for your whole family.

All of the bedrooms have brand new hybrid mattresses and they are all king or queen sized (with the exception of the room with the bunk beds). The master bedroom has its own sliding glass door to the patio (steps from the brand new hot tub) and a beautiful view of the mountains and valley beyond.

With touch lamps and USB ports bedside, you can enjoy a cozy morning sipping coffee in bed while gazing at the mountains. His and hers walk in closets complete the master bedroom.

The master bathroom has a dual shower head walk in shower (wheelchair friendly) with instant hot water available. All shampoo, body wash and conditioner are provided, along with fluffy towels for an invigorating experience. Dual sinks with gorgeous light fixtures complete the picture.

The two guest bedrooms upstairs are decorated with modern rustic touches, featuring calligraphy prints from a local artist of Georgia wildlife. There's friendly houseplants in each room and one bedroom has a sliding glass door that leads out to the deck.

Crisp white sheets, warm blankets and cozy throws will snuggle you off to dreamland!

The upstairs bath also features shampoo, body wash and conditioner, and a tub.

A washer and dryer are available with Tide pods if you need to run a load.

The deck outside is a knock out. From the views to the hot tub to the patio furniture and plants, you'll want to spend all of your time enjoying the scenery. There's a Weber gas grill too, with all of the tools you need, and cafe lighting for a fun touch!

Downstairs features a gate at the top of the stairs that latches with a magnet to keep the pups up or down.

The game room downstairs has everything you need for fun! A poker table that converts to bumper pool, a shuffleboard table and SO. MANY. BOARDGAMES! Cards, puzzles, you name it, we've got it!

There's a 55" Smart TV downstairs, Blu-ray player, a mini fridge, and bar sink, you can bring the party downstairs, if you prefer. Plus, there's another deck with a sliding glass door and a porch swing with, yes, you guessed it, more amazing views!

The downstairs bedroom also features a great view and the bathroom has a great walk in shower (wheelchair accessible) Shampoo, body wash and conditioner are provided.

The kids bedroom is so fun, that even if you aren't a kid, you'll want to stay there! The camping-themed room features a bunkbed with a twin on top and a full on bottom, with super comfortable mattresses. A furry faux bearskin rug to dig your toes into greets you in the morning. Plus there's a reading teepee full of pillows and a cozy faux fur rug for kids to read or dream in. Lots of local art showing flora and fauna cover the walls and fun camping features complete the room.

The High Life is what everyone should be living and we are so grateful you have chosen to stay with us. You deserve the best!
Guest access
You have full access of the home, with the exception of the garage and the owner's closets.
Other things to note
You are in the mountains of Georgia, so that means you are sharing the space with wildlife. Deer and black bear are common in the area, although bears are little less visible. Please be aware when driving and don't leave any food in your vehicle or outside on the front porch. Black bear are typically not aggressive, but for your safety, do not approach them.

We enjoyed our stay. Great spot for peace and quiet on the shoulder of Mount Ogelthorpe, the highest mountain in Georgia. Easy access to the cute towns of Jasper and Ellijay.

Baseball and bears!
Amazing views! Was looking for a place to stay with four 16 year old boys in town for a baseball tournament! Didn’t realize just how steep the mountains in Georgia were but seeing bears strolling by made the drive and hikes worth it!! Definitely a good drive away from just running out to do something or pick up food, which gave us so many opportunities to just stay in playing card games, listening to music and sitting in the hot tub!

wonderful place for a family vacation
Lovely home and perfect for a family vacation. The 9 of us had plenty of room to spread out. Beds were very comfortable. The view of the mountains was spectacular and changed by the hour. We even had a couple of bear visits and they are surprisingly good at getting some trash out of a locked container. 😂 The roads and driveway are pretty steep, but that’s what happens when you are on top of a mountain. Plenty to do within a hour or so drive. Owners were very accommodating and quick to respond if needed. We had no complaints and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic Views
This property has everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. The hosts have thought of everything, even toiletries, dishwashing and laundry soap. But the best feature is the long range Mountain View from the deck. The deck can be a bit windy. There is also a grill, hot tub and fire pit but we didn’t get around to using any of those. Comfortable beds and furniture. The whole home is tastefully decorated. You will not be disappointed. The fenced off area for the dog was perfect. While walking her dog, my daughter and my husband saw bears not far from the property. There are walking trails not far away. We loved it so much we want to live in the area. Wonderful!
