Such an overrated place
The booking indicated we would have a bathtub - we had a shower. It indicated a 5 star rating with turndown service. Nobody in this institution knows what is a turndown setvice. They apologised vehemently but never rectified it.
The chef's food is all that was nice, however, breakfast is very basic for a 5star rating place. Will never go back here
This is actually our third time staying now, feels like coming home. We absolutely love this hotel, Leonora is one of the best hotel managers anywhere, and both she and Corli always make us feel so welcome every time we are here. Our kids adore the large koi fish in the ponds, and the food is all farm to table and delicious! And the gardens, pictures just don't do them justice, the fragrance of the jasmine and roses is something that can't even be described without experiencing. This hotel is a must stay!
We had a little mix up on arrival when our rooms were not adjoining, but like all five star hotels they made it up, and then some. The grounds are like a fantasy land, and the koi fish were an absolute favorite of our daughters. The meals are all fresh farm to table cooking (from the gardens and livestock on the property). All in all a hidden gem!
Very nice, new and clean place (on an old farm premises, however very close to the highway and city). Early check-in was no problem, coming straight from the airport.
We rally enjoyed our stay, lunch and diner at The Rasmus and will certainly come back on our next trip to SA.
We absolutely loved the stay, the facility is beautiful and well kept. The hospitality received from Bianca and Anastacia is highly commendable, and we even got to interact with Mr Erasmus, the owner and his dogs.
