This cottage is beautiful with fabulous views of the Straits of San Juan de Fuca. It is beautifully furnished, and the kitchen is well stocked, not only with dishes, glasses, etc., but also with some teas, coffee, and more. The Manager and staff are available, if needed, and are very welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable about the property and the area. Definitely a 10

I am hesitant to give rave reviews for this property as it will make it harder for me to book next time I’m on the island. The property is breathtaking! Ray the caretaker is a gem! Enjoyed so much our morning chats. Thank you so very much for allowing us to stay!

Wir hatten zwei sehr schöne Wochen in dieser Unterkunft verbracht. Uns hatte es an nichts gefehlt, alles war vorhanden. Wir haben Wale und Orcas von unserer Terrasse aus beobachten können. Sogar ein Bär hatte uns zweimal in der früh überrascht. Bei Fragen haben uns die Gastgeber rasch geantwortet und weitergeholfen. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur weiter empfehlen. Einfach perfekt!

Jaw dropping beautiful! One of the best vacation homes we have ever stayed in. The view is simply stunning. We spent most of the trip at the property watching fishing boats, seals, sea lions and a few whales one day!! Food options nearby are great and had one of the most relaxing trips ever. Can’t wait to return!

Love this property! Very clean inside and outside. Loved the views from all the rooms, beaches were easy to get to. Property felt very private and safe. We saw whales from the property almost every morning. We cant wait to return and have shared our great experience with family and friends. Highly recommend this relaxing place.

We are just back after 5 great nights at this property and we are already thinking about booking to go again. The location is simply incredible and we were amazed at the variety of wildlife on our doorstep. We saw Orca, humming birds, bald eagles, gray or humpback whales, rabbits, deers,seals and sea otters all in or from the garden.Can 100% recommend and would definitely go again.

Wonderful 10 day stay. Loved the early morning views with my coffee. Ray was awesome. The cottage had everything we needed. Could run to the market and get food to cook. My favorite part was the beach art shack.

Amazing spot in Sooke

This is our second stay at Seaward. It’s a beautiful spot. We love all of the places you can hang out - beach, beach house, picnic tables, patio, chairs by the cliff. House is very comfortable and because we were there a week, we made use of the washer and dryer. Much appreciated. The bed is super comfortable. Ray is around for anything you might need and he’s great to talk to. Our only suggestion for improvement is keeping the windows and sliding glass door cleaner. We’ll be back!

50 th wedding anniversary

So glad we reserved the Rowen Cottage! Closest to the water & even though I had read & saw all the pictures I walked in & both my husband & I said WOW! Awesome picture windows in living room & mstr bdrm! Had a black bear mosey through our back yard just before dark! So cool!!! Watched a pod of resident whales for 30 mins. Shirley’s Delicious was just that delicious! Ray the grounds keeper is such a nice man & made is feel so welcome. I’d recommend this place everyday of the year. Wonderful 50th anniversary! Thank you Wally‼

A hidde gem placed next to the ocean. It was beautiful, peaceful, and so well taken care of. You could see the love that was put into the care of the cottage, the grounds, and Ray came by everyday to ask if we needed anything. A truly magical place that will hold fond memories. I would gibe this place 20 stars if I could!!!!!!

Excellence in Sooke

We loved this property and are already planning a return trip. Both my husband and my son were able to 'shut down' and just gaze out at the view for hours. The location is very private and quiet, other than the sound of the waves and birds. The cabin is a short drive from Sooke which has amazing restaurants. Communication with the owners was great, and the caretaker, Ray is very sweet. We can't wait to return!

Better than Website Photos!

The cottage is wonderful. It is modern, beautifully furnished, private, and has an excellent view (even in the rain) to name only a few things that made our stay outstanding! The manager, Kristie, responded quickly to our questions and the check-in/out was easy. When we were leaving, we met Ray (very nice person), the maintenance person, and he shared the property's interesting history with us. We highly recommend it!

Magnificent Property

Rowan Cottage is a gem, and the location is stunning. It was perfect for us in every way - from the luxurious master with the most comfortable king bed, to the fully stocked kitchen to the fabulous views from almost every room. There was more than ample space for the two of us. We really loved the privacy, and enjoyed a couple of meals on the terrace in the sunshine. The sunsets were incredible. We hope to return many times, as we haven't found anything else that compares.
