“Based on the picture that is given online, it is a little deceptive as the room was a lot smaller than expected. In saying that, one has to remember that the older properties in Amsterdam are very narrow, to cram in many rooms, then the rooms are not going to be that large. What I will say is that the room was adequate for sleeping and showering in, it was clean and everything that one could want was there. “Beautifully renovated historic building with beautiful garden and a top-notch restaurant. The new lift is especially good, saving us the effort to wrestle luggages up the steep stairs typically of older Dutch buildings. Quiet surroundings at the historic city center. Very nice and helpful staff. Oh, and the breakfast is well worth the money. Everything is tasty.”

“We had such a wonderful stay that we even decided to extend it. The hotel is peaceful, very comfortable, and the atmosphere is so friendly it felt like home. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent! Everything was delicious, especially the tomato tartare. Breakfast was also over the top, absolutely yummy! When we were looking to book, we noticed the hotel was a bit outside the city, but once we got there we realized it was an easy 10-15 min uber ride into the busy city center. Honestly, that was……
