The room was ok.

1- the AC didn’t work in our room for 2 days. They initially tried blaming the outside temp (85-94), but the room wasn’t comfortable enough to sleep in. They sent maintenance twice but couldn’t fix. Had to switch rooms mid-stay. The new room just two doors down was downright chilly, so it wasn’t the outside temp causing problems. The common areas weren’t cooled during 90 degree days. 2- hot/cold water in all faucets was reversed. That’s a huge problem when traveling with a special needs kid who couldn’t protect himself well enough to prevent scalds. 3- our first room had piles of sand on the floor upon arrival. 4- the sinks and tub would not drain. The one sink was full for an hour so I had to remove the stopper to help it empty. 5- they added a daily charge for a rollaway bed that we never had. They ended up removing it at the end of our stay though. 5- staff were all super friendly, offering prompt resolution when possible. 6- pool was clean, large, and well maintained. The infant area was blocked off during our entire stay, but that wasn’t an issue since our kids are older. 7- VERY excellent location, close to so many restaurants, shops, and beach. Very walkable for someone with mobility challenges! 8- half of the elevators in the hotel weren’t working. Stairs aren’t an option for me so this was a big worry. 9- ice machines and water filling stations worked sporadically. It was a scavenger hunt finding ones that worked.

Such a beautiful place in a great location

I have a couple of contructive comments. Our stay was wonderful. When it rained, it looked like some of the gutters were clogged so that on one or two of the rooms' awnings over the little decks were flowing like waterfalls! Not ours. Another thing was a constant "beep.beep.beep" from what sounded like some kind of alarm (not super loud) but you could hear it 24 hrs each day . Just concerned it might have been a moisture detection alarm like we have in our basement...BUT...I have very keen hearing, so ither guests may not have notice. My wife and i enjoyed the Happy Hour and the dinner were very tastey with helpful abd friendly waitstaff . The check-in staff was excepcional and recommended that we purchase sunscreen nearby at Dollar General because of the extremely high temps. Thanks....we will definitely return and recommend Lakeview Hotel...unbelievable view of Lake Bellaire. Incredible sunset views! Thank you! Leo Lemery Room 319 June 29-July 1, 2026...
