The best area to stay in Kampung Lepar is the region immediately surrounding Lake Chini, particularly near the village of Kampung Tasik Chini. This area is the primary point of interest for visitors, offering direct access to Malaysia's second-largest natural freshwater lake. You'll find accommodations clustered along the lake's western edge, providing convenient access for boat tours, exploring the local Orang Asli villages, and experiencing the natural environment.Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will find this area ideal. The serene lake surroundings and opportunities for nature walks offer a quiet escape.

The best time to visit Kampung Lepar is during the dry season, which typically runs from April to September.During these months, you'll experience lower humidity and more sunshine, making it ideal for outdoor activities like exploring the nearby Taman Negara National Park. The clearer weather ensures comfortable conditions for jungle treks, river cruises along the Tembeling River, and canopy walks. This period is particularly good for families looking to engage in wildlife spotting and nature adventures without the disruption of heavy rainfall. While the wet season (October to March) brings lush greenery and fewer crowds, the increased rainfall can lead to trail closures and make some outdoor excursions less enjoyable.
