It has a more traditional style, which I liked, the owner was friendly, pleasant and helpful. He arranged a taxi for very early in the morning, and got up to ensure it arrived ok. It was a Sat night and I could hear the base thud thud of a nearby nightclub, it wasn't really loud but as I am sensitive to sound at night it did keep me awake, but my friend slept fine. The bathroom could have benefitted from a better clean, and a lick of paint, but overall the hotel was fine and our stay was ok. They always greeted me with a smile and a "namaste". Very safe, clean, and convenient jumping off point for exploring the Thamel district of Kathmandu. I will definitely be returning just to drink tea and conversate with the staff. The room is lovely, clean comfortable. The owner is very helpful, full of good tips to navigate the city. When i arrived in Kathmandu the airline had lost my luggage, and when I mentioned it in passing to Mahes at the hotel he took the issue personally and worked all morning the next day on my behalf to find my luggage. The entire staff was kind, professional, friendly, and fun to be around. We didn't want to leave the hotel! Very clean, nice decor, comfortable beds, welcoming staff, nice airport pickup and good dinner, not so good on snacks. VERY COLD to stay in December.
