“We arrived at Herbes Folles after a long day and a delay on the Eurotunnel. What a beautiful place located in the countryside. Our room was stunning and so comfortable, everything we needed. We were made to feel so welcome nothing was too much trouble, so kind and friendly. The breakfast was delicious….homemade products from the farm. We would not hesitate in returning to Herbes Folles. “A boutique hotel that was truly awesome! I contacted the owner to alert him of my ETA the evening before & he rapidly replied with my room # & provided all necessary access info. Manteka Logies is very well located, virtually beside the tourist office & the Flanders Field Museum. The room had a comfy bed, a bar fridge, Nespresso coffee maker (or another brand that worked the same way), several coffee pods, creamers, sugar, a small kettle & an assortment of tea. “Interesting stay. Rooms were modern, comfortable and clean. All electronic communication was helpful. But we had no personal interactions with staff. Picked up a key at a desk, and dropped it off 2 days later.
We rented bikes both days and rode to nearby 4-6 miles breweries, which were both excellent. I recommend the Hotel Anphor for the bike rental.”
“A remarkable place to stay. As a hotel it does have it's limitations- light and soundproofing are both quite poor. However the bed was very comfy, the WiFi was decent, the bathrooms were very clean and the shower was good. Decent continental breakfast. Very friendly staff.
The main reason for staying here is to experience this historic building and the stories it has to tell. From that point of view it is amazing. So no it isn't the most luxurious place I've ever stayed but it might well be……
“We arrived rather late (after 9.00pm), was a bit tricky to find in the dark, but we managed it! Greeted by Hilde - lovely lady. Took us to our rooms, which were lovely & comfortable & clean. Allowed full use of the lounge & kitchen. There were 3 of us (adults). Very spacious. Shower lovely. Breakfast choice amazing. We stayed here having visited Bruges. Would definitely return & recommend. ”

“This is a superb hotel, but please be aware the restaurant is closed on a Tuesday & Wednesday, this is not shown when you book! We arrived on a Wednesday and basically the hotel was closed although we did have a booking! There were no other guests. The owner did make us very welcome & gave us a fantastic breakfast, but it felt very odd being quite so quiet.”
“This is an amazing little eight room hotel in Vleteren, Belgium. An absolutely charming hostess. Made our reservations at a local restaurant. Gave us advice and history about the area. FREE parking. FREE breakfast, with individually prepared Omelettes. Honesty bar. Very clean and well maintained.”
