The property is lovely, and we enjoyed our time there. The food was a highlight. Breakfast was excellent, the buffalo at Antlers was perfect, and the barbecue we had at the bar was easily top ten.
The service didn’t match the food. Our breakfast waitress seemed overwhelmed, and the language barrier made it difficult to communicate. The service at Antlers and the bar was also inattentive and disorganized. We did notice another waiter at Antlers who was friendly and engaging with everyone; we wished he had been ours.
The extra charges were frustrating. Paying $25 to self-park or $50 for valet felt excessive on top of an already expensive stay. We had a great time overall, but better service and fewer added fees would make this place a perfect ten. We probably could have taken a trip to Mexico for less.
