Khanom Vacation Packages
From Khanom, it's about 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the northeast to Koh Samui and 100 miles (161 kilometers) to the southwest to Krabi.
While it may be a temptation to just chill out while holidaying in Khanom, remember, the surrounding region's numerous scenic wonders are never more than a day trip away. Taling Ngam Beach, 19 miles (31 kilometers) to the southwest, and Sao Phao, 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the north of Khanom are also waiting to be discovered.
Koh Samui is about 25 miles (40 kilometers) from Khanom. This regional center offers a diverse range of attractions, including Namuang Waterfall 2, Samui Go Kart and Big Buddha Beach Pier. Big Buddha Statue, Nathon Pier and Choeng Mun Beach are other good spots to visit.
Those who travel often understand that a region's culinary arts are a sure-fire way to uncover a destination's personality. Don't leave Nakhon Si Thammarat without trying out chuchi pla thu sot (mackerel curry) and also kaeng matsaman (stewed meat curry). To try a typical non-alcoholic option, try South Thailand.
Very often, the difference between a true traveler and a run-of-the-mill tourist is a little knowledge of the local language, so be sure to memorize a few handy Thai words and phrases before you leave. "Yàak dtên ram măi?" is a good example. It means "Would you like to dance with me?" And "Kun maa jàak tee năi?", which translates as "Where are you from?"
At the end of your stay in Khanom, pack up your camera and mementos, spend your last of your baht, and bid Laa gòn ná (farewell) to this special place.
