Great Hotel within minutes of Killington Resort

Posted Nov 16, 2017
Pros: The staff, proximity to mountain and the amount of restaurants and bars within walking distance was nice
Cons: A shuttle service year round when needed
Location: Right near Killington Mountain Resort - winter and summer activities that are very close proximity. Great dining options around
Staff went above and beyond to assist me during my stay with them, including needing to extend a night. They accommodated my needs with expedience and smiles, and even did follow ups with me through out my stay. The facilities are clean, very nice, mountain lodge style - I lucked out and got a room with two balconies and could not have been more ecstatic about the views they provided.

Excellent location in the Killington Area

Posted Nov 15, 2017
Pros: The breakfast buffet was great (although orange juice was strange) as was the outdoor hot tub and terrace.
Cons: If renovating, don't cut corners. REPLACE THOSE OLD BATHTUBS!!
Location: Location is excellent. Very short drive to the mountain and LOTS of great restaurants and bars within walking distance.
Originall went up to Killington for one night. Upon walking in, hotel looked updated and lovely. When we went to our room, it looked partially updated. Bathtub was a little gross. It was old, discolored and the shower curtain definitely had an odor. This was disappointing as it looks like they are trying to renovate but are obviously cutting corners. We decided to stay a second night (so it wasn't all that bad!). When we reserved our room for the second night we were asked if we wanted housekeeping services that day. We said yes. When we returned at the end of a long day out, housekeeping had never come. I called the front desk to see if we could at least get fresh towels and were told they'd send someone right up. Never did get those towels. It appears this hotel is in the midst of a turnover. It was pleasant enough that I would probably give it another try. We had a great rate when we were there because it was off season. I would've been very angry, however, if we had paid premium rates. Keep trying Killington Mountain Lodge. I believe you have potential to be a very nice hotel.

Customer Service

Posted Nov 14, 2017
Cons: Everything, starting with Customer Service
Location: It is a fun area, visited several local establishments and had a good time.
It started at check-in... If it sounds like a cheesy detective story, it was very similar. The person working the front desk could not have been more disappointing. The overall look of the lobby was impressive with the big fireplace and inviting seating options. He killed that mood rather quickly with his sarcastic replies and complaints. In talking with hotel staff via phone while we were trying to check in, his attitude was equally offensive to them. Overall, a lousy start to a fun weekend. By the way, all the fun took place outside the hotel. I have dubbed this hotel "The place Customer Service came to die"... I would not/will not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to a friend. BTW - Upon returning to our room late at night, we were treated to a special "show" in the hot tub. Some would call it "The Big Bang", but it also was disappointing.

Last minute, one night getaway

Posted Nov 13, 2017
Our stay at the Killington Mountain Lodge was average. Low points: the place needs some updating. Arrived in room to find a electric space heater, the window was old and didn't close well and there were no complimentary toiletries in the room. High points: The staff at front desk was friendly and helpful, there was a nice complimentary breakfast and the fireplace in the main lobby was very welcoming. Overall, for a one night get away, I would stay again.

Cons: The late check in staff. He was kind of rude and unpolitical

We had some minor discomfort with our room when we first arrived. Jessica at the front desk went above and beyond to accommodate us making our stay well worth coming back.

Decent hotel. Fait Value

Posted Oct 23, 2017
Pros: Outdoor areas B'fast buffet Staff was very nice
Cons: Mattresses!!!!
Hot tub and outdoor firepits were very nice Breakfast buffet was VERY good. Nice Local yogurt and granola, Eggs, home fries, waffles with REAL Maple syrup!! Good coffee. Beds in the room could use some updating. Mattresses in our room must have been a bit old because of the noticeable dip in the middle. Other than that, overall stay was enjoyable.

Good location but disappointing rooms

Posted Oct 22, 2017
Pros: Location and lobby area had a nice fireplace that was in use at night.
Cons: Update rooms, towels, toiletries, and put a/c and heat in each room. The rooms were not cleaned on-time and the staff were arguing about it.
Location: Good location with quite a few local restaurants at various prices.
The location is what was expected and close to highways and local restaurants. They initially checked in to the wrong room (not the one we booked) so we had to redo the check-in process and move our luggage. We had a suite and there was a/c and heat in only 1 room so we could not sleep in the 2nd room as it was too hot 1 night and cold the next. Very disappointing. The towels were quite thin and frankly just low quality toiletries, etc. The rooms need quite a bit of updating.

Door bangers paradise!!

Posted Oct 14, 2017
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Most everything.
Location: Limited dining choices because of the off season (Fall)
There must have been a convention of door bangers when we were there. Nearly everyone staying at this hotel must have been on the same floor, and they were door bangers. No consideration of the disruption caused by letting the guest room doors bang shut when entering and exiting. The entire floor/wall would shake when those doors slammed shut. The hotel could at least consider adjustable door closers to decrease the noise and vibration. Bathroom floor was sticky, floor around toilet didn't appear to be clean, urine on floor by the toilet. Minimal bath amenities Restaurant/Bar had limited menu choices for dinner, and the service staff was not very friendly. They were to busy looking busy to bother with customers. Took their time acknowledging customers and very slow filling requests for drinks. Would not service tables, guests had to order from the bar for drinks and food. Jacuzzi users had to walk thru the bar to get to and from the Jacuzzi, not very appealing. Breakfast was not too bad. Had to remember this is a ski resort that tries to operate in the off season, but doesn't do a very good job.

Quite nice

Posted Oct 11, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Window cleaning and improved plumbing. Our toilet whined like a baby seal after each flush.
Location: Great location for day trips for seeing fall foliage.
It was a nice facility and nice staff. There is such pretty outdoor scenery that it would really be a nice investment to have clean windows. They were very dirty and I usually don't take notice of such things.
