This property was clean and has been updated somewhat. That said, it still needs additional TLC as does much of Tannersville. The motel was my home base for hiking and exploring the area. It worked for that, but otherwise the room was in need of some TLC as was the exterior.

Cutest hotel in cute little town of Tannersville, location was perfect for getting to Kaaterskill Falls and a few other locations I was checking out for Fall foliage, didn't get to meet any staff as I arrived late for check-in but room key was left for me, very accommodating 😊 Room was clean and spacious, and the price was affordable, thank you! 👍

Loved the view! Need a light near coffee pot/fridge/microwave so early morning person making coffee, etc., doesn't need to flip on bright lights & wake others. Parking on steel incline was dicey.

Sun View Motel has a very homey feel to it. The room was very clean. It has a grassy hill to walk, sit and read. I’d definitely go back there to stay!

We were in a ground level unit. The window did not lock and there is access from the ground. Out of caution and fear I jammed a luggage rack in the window so it couldn’t be opened from the outside. The WiFi does not work in rooms 34 & 35 and the desk staff confirmed that. No WiFi was a huge problem as I needed to work. The room was clean enough but the ceiling was cracked and peeling. The grounds were not maintained. I would never go back. I only stayed because I was there for a wedding and there wasn’t any where else to go.

Clean rooms & gorgeous views! The bathroom was large, and the beds & floors were very clean & well-maintained. Each room had an outdoor table & 2 chairs provided to sit at to enjoy the mountain views. Plus, there was a large side yard on the property with plenty of room for anyone to enjoy it. True to its name, the Sunview has areas where both the sunrise & sunset can be seen (the sunset view is especially stunning).

The room was clean, beds and pillows were good. Parking is on site self parking. Amenities were ok, but I recommend to bring your own. Motel was quiet at night and the black out curtains help to have a good sleep.

There was nobody in the office when we arrived to check us in. Somebody came over about five or 10 minutes later to the office. We were given a key and that was it. We had to call later to find out what the Wi-Fi code was and no one answered and they finally emailed us half an hour later with the code. Our room was never cleaned and we were there two nights. The property is a bit shabby and neglected. Would not recommend it.
