"This review is solely based on the room, amenities provided and correspondence with the host. The room was updated, clean, and comfortable. Leroy was helpful in picking us up from the airport, grabbing the temporary license and getting us situated with the rental car. The surrounding is VERY local and there were some instances where we received uncomfortable stares. It didn't seem like visitors were welcome at some locations, but there was never a point where we felt unsafe, just unwelcome. That being said, we encountered some friendly locals at Buccament Bay, where there is a nice little beach, a few vendors, and a delicious restaurant/beach bar. Recommend take the wild drive to dark falls waterfall, it was spectacular, taking the ferry to Bequia and hanging out around Princess Margaret beach where you'll find some local bars and restaurants--that island generally, felt a bit more "tourist friendly." Overall, we had quite the adventure!"

"This is an older hotel that has been operating for more than 50 years, and that shows in some areas. The rooms feel somewhat dated. The food was not very good, and the menu options were limited. On the positive side, the staff was helpful, the beds were comfortable and clean, and the rooms were cleaned daily. The location is convenient, with easy walking access to other restaurants and bars along the boardwalk. Those restaurants are not that great either, but they are better than the hotel. The beach water is clear, although beach chairs and umbrellas must be rented from locals. Public transportation is readily available, with vans stopping right outside the hotel that can take you to Kingstown or in the opposite direction for $2.50 EC. This made it easy to reach supermarkets in either direction to buy water, snacks, or other essentials. We stayed in two rooms. It took four days to receive a safe in one of them, so we had to share the available safe during that time. There was also a ceiling leak in room 14, and the water pressure in room 16 was very low."
