The rooms in the basement are definitely not a 4 star experience. Although clean, this is more a 2 star hotel. During our stay the carpet was also wet and there were a few dehumidifiers running continuously.

Our room was very clean and nice. The staff was friendly. The main restaurant and bar is beautiful but we were very disappointed that it was closed for a private event one of the nights that we stayed there. They had a small bar open for us but it just was not the same. The person attending the bar was not a bartender and had to seek advice at the main bar for assistance. The prices of drinks should reflect the lower quality of ambiance. We would expect coffee and tea to be available complimentary at the cost we were paying for the rooms but you had to buy it at the bar. All in all, for the most part, we really liked this hotel. We just thought it was overpriced for what you got.

My biggest “surprise” for this property was the entrance via a lane way. Be warned that the laneway is a common area also used by local restaurants to store their dumpsters! So as long as you’re okay walking by trash every day to get to the entrance, the property is fine. Also, the property consists of 3 apartments which you enter via a stairway. Apartment 1 is on the first floor which means you need to climb a flight of stairs to get it. I was given apartment 3 which means I had to carry over 120+ lbs of luggage for my wife and myself up 4 flights of stairs! So if you’re not fit, be warned! Once in the apartment, the space itself was very good. It was newly renovated and it even had a washer to wash your clothes. The bathroom does suffer from no hooks to hang your towels and a shortage of counter space. Management… please add a few hooks for wet towels!

We loved our stay here. The location was excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly. Food was great. Rooms were clean and comfy. Be aware that there are three floors and no elevator. This wasn’t a problem for us, but it could be for others. Overall, highly recommend the Inn!
