We had a great stay at SoonNoeng resort. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff were amazingly kind and helpful, food was excellent, pool and beach were lovely. Very convenient location beside the pier for ferry access. Be aware that it is a 15-20 minute walk down the beach for any other restaurant or store, but it is a beautiful walk on the beach.

Had a fantastic few days here. The property is built on the beach, with a nice restaurant, spacious rooms and great beach bar / restaurant. The beach itself is fantastic and well appointed with chairs, swings and other amenities. The pool is also very large and very well appointed with showers and toilet facilities, comfortable furnishings and access to the bar / restaurant However, what sets this hotel apart is the staff. They could not have been more accommodating or helpful. They made our stay with there hard work and diligence, going the extra mile to make our stay even more special. A big thanks to Max and all the team for making my son’s birthday and for such a wonderful stay.

Amazing

The staff were amazing they knew it was our anniversary so upgraded us to a beach front room. The location was amazing right on the beach. 1 minute walk from the pier. The resort was very friendly and comfortable. Swings and hammocks were everywhere. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Only downside was the WiFi wasn’t the strongest. Would definitely return.

Oct 2025 - be warned that they are building a pool (which will be amazing once completed!) but is currently a building site so very noisy during the day. Also your view from a ‘sea view’ villa will be very compromised!! The staff were very understanding and sorted an alternative day to the other side of the island on Lazy Beach (which is beautiful!). Clean room, good breakfast, right by the jetty for ferry. So much to like if it wasn’t for the building noise! Shame that no one seems to bother to want to clean up the washed up plastic along the beach front of the bay - this would make such a difference. Next door is Paradise which is great for cocktails & dinner. I recommend Soonnoeng with caution at the time of writing. Once complete the pool will make it fantastic!

Nous avons réservé des chambres à la dernière minute, en pensant que c'était à Sihanouk ville. Finalement c'était sur l'île de Koh Rong. Et cela fut une belle surprise. Les chambres étaient spacieuses et le personnel agréable. La plage est calme et la piscine est vraiment un plus.
