“I couldn't contact the host or find Malaya House but it was on Google maps in an area with a maze of footpaths and other resorts. Then I recognized the 2nd floor verandah from a photo in Wotif. I met the cleaners there by chance who gave me the key and I never saw anyone else again. It's near the entrance to the Panorama Boutique hotel & Beach Club. They should put "Malaya House" on the gate. I walked straight past it the first time. After that I found the place to have a kitchen with a counter……

“Location is definitely what you are paying for. Stunningly beautiful. The staff is very tentative. Breakfast is good. We do wish they payed better attention to detail. Example: watering and nurturing the plants. They have so much potential! To us it’s obvious it’s a management problem, not an employee issue. Again, the staff is a 10/10.”

“This property is overlooking the beach and tour loading area. The view from the balcony is amazing. When we arrived the property was missing some needed dishware but that was solved with a quick trip to the local store and about 400 pesos. The hot water for showers isn't great but it's acceptable. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. There was a cooking machine similar to a microwave but we couldn't figure out how it works.”
