Lamar County Vacations & Trips from $603

My daughter and I stopped in for a one night stay. It was a lovely experience. Jenny and Gerry were warm and kind. The mansion was beautiful. My 11 year old daughter was especially enchanted with the beautiful garden and fairy homes throughout. We stayed in the peacock chamber and we felt like princesses. My sleep was excellent. We have gluten allergies and had an early morning leadership convention so Jenny was so dear to our fruit and granola in a to go box for us. We would love to visit again sometime. Highly recommend!

The room was really nice and I loved the nature around it too.

First and foremost the staff was all amazing especially Jamel!!! But I have always only stayed in Marriott or Hilton hotels because they never disappoint. However Marriott should really look into what they have their name on. This hotel is very dirty and unkept in so many ways. The maintenance is so patched and looks horrible. The tub drains so slow your standing in a tub of water while showering. Paint bubbling and chipping. I have never been concerned in a Marriott about clean bedding and sleeping in the beds but I was very concerned. If we weren’t so exhausted from driving we would have left. I will definitely add Marriott to my list of see in person before you book. I was shocked to say the least. It’s definitely one of those hotels that should be labeled motel and you think of shady things that may go on there. Marriot you should be ashamed!!! But again all the staff were amazing.
