“Stayed mainly to break up our journey from the Portuguese coast to the Mediterranean coast, but we were very pleased we stayed in the old town and at this hotel. They were both excellent. Beautifully appointed hotel, spacious bedroom and bathroom with lots of character. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely breakfast in a beautiful dining room, unfortunately the restaurant was temporarily closed but we were able to find one within walking distance.”

It is wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A very very minor point but there was no plugs for the kitchen sink - we did enquire but were told there weren't any.”

“The rooms are kept very clean and the staff are helpful although English is limited. Breakfast is basic and in the cafe downstairs which you pay for separately. Parking is limited but there is on the street parking around. ”
