We had room 11 on the ground floor, it was very clean with a comfortable king size bed. There were spare pillows and blanket if needed. Loved the modern bathroom and shower. Refreshments were provided including milk and water in the fridge which was much appreciated. This Hotel has great views across the City and is only a short walk to the bars and restaurants (although the steep hill back is a challenge!) it’s only about ten mins drive to the Cataract Gorge, well worth a visit. The only negative is our room was right by the night door entrance and it’s quite loud, I think a top floor room would be better if you can carry your luggage up as there is no lift. I’d give this 3.5 stars but there was no option for this. This boutique hotel is basic but clean which is important. Would have helped to have lifts for larger bags as even though it’s 2 flights of stairs, it’s still 2 flights of stairs for heavy bags to go up and down. There is an equipped kitchen and dining on the ground floor ideal for warming up and having meals but it is in much need of a good tidy up and clean. The property is on a very steep hill and coming back up the hill is back breaking work, a good workout for the not so faint hearted.
