Love to hike, kayak or just relax? Bring your friends, family, and dogs!

  • Need a getaway? Family - friends - hiking - hunting, or maybe just you and the dog! This cabin offers three furnished bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The 11 x 11 kitchen is fully equipped with cook and serve ware, along with plenty of seasonings and condiments, too! The 11 x 9 dining area includes a spacious table with 4 chairs and bench. The 16 x 16 living room furniture all reclines, and the sofa has a pull down 'table' in the middle. The large 20 x 10 front deck offers seating for 6 (except during the winter months). We also provide accommodations for your dogs, including bedding, bowls & bags! There is satellite internet and a separate desk area so you can work if necessary. All 3 TV's include streaming ability. The cabin sits on a full acre, so you can take a stroll around the property without interfering with neighbors. To enjoy the firepit, there is plenty of seating - including a picnic table. If it's an indoor night, the gas log fireplace needs no work to create ambiance.

The property is beautiful and secluded. Very peaceful and quiet area and just a couple minutes drive to River road for hiking and other river activities. Loved the cabin and the only suggestion would be brighter lighting in the cabin for nighttime.

Our stay at Fern Valley was simply outstanding! The host thought of every possible detail, from the seamless self check-in process to the spotless, beautifully decorated interiors. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area! This is our second stay and we will be back! We had a wonderful time at Fern Valley Cabin. The location was peaceful and quiet, perfect for a winter getaway. The cabin was immaculate and was decorated beautifully for the winter holidays. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for evening meals. They even had a raised bed and supplies for our dog, who loved the experience. Kris was very friendly and responsive----the perfect host! We will definitely return!

We really enjoyed our stay. The first thing we noticed was the cleanliness of the cabin. Once we got settled, I realized I had forgotten my toothbrush, but our hosts had that covered. Thank you Kris, the last thing I wanted to do was run to the store for a toothbrush!! The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook all of our meals with ease. We visited several local places and were even able to kayak the river. Our location was perfect! I highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing getaway! We will be back!

Comfort away from home!

The property was beautiful. The check in process was super easy and straight forward! The host was very understanding and accomodating with our need for a late check in! This cabin was so comfortable and perfect for our family! It included everything that we needed for our stay! Our stay was wonderful. The hosts really thought of the guests even providing hygiene/ feminine products in case forgotten. Each room was provided with a basket of towels extra blankets. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that you could think of and the cabin was decorated beautifully. I could write so much more it really was a great stay!

Excellent!The booking was very easy and the host sent details quickly. Check-in involved pulling open a lockbox to get the keys - coming in the back door was not a problem since the front sliding doors can then be easily opened to bring in belongings. We found everything we would have needed to cook any meal - the kitchen had all the little utensils and tools that we often pack for less well-supplied houses. There are a lot of different lights to turn on and good AC - one downstairs and an upstairs split unit that cooled things off well on a very hot day. Close to lots of beautiful hiking and a long network of local bike trails. We enjoyed Clarion River Brewing Company and Cousin Basil’s for dinners. Fern Valley cabin is a gem!

Very clean. Quiet area during the week. On the weekend there were a few more people around but noone bothered us and one very nice neighbor offered to use any of her firewood if we needed any.

What an amazing 4th of July weekend we spent in Cook Forest. We want to send a huge shout out to our host at Fern Valley Cabin This cabin is a 10 out of 10 if you’re looking for a great place to stay when visiting Cook Forest. The host thought of everything when they put this together, beautiful, relaxing, every amenity you would need, and all of the little things that make your stay so easy. We had a fantastic stay and already looking forward to next year!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at this property! From the moment we booked, the host was incredibly responsive and helpful, making us feel welcome and at ease.
