{Big Timbers} Cabin next to North Entrance to Itasca State park

{Big Timbers} Cabin next to North Entrance to Itasca State park

10/10 Excellent
"We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin was super cute, quaint, and perfect for our family of five. We especially loved that small pets are allowed, and pets can be on a leash throughout Itasca State Park, which was a big reason we chose this area for our long weekend.Check-in was easy, and having the ice cream/gift shop nearby and a convenience store right across the road was so convenient. The cabin was clean, private, and quiet while still being close to everything. It was only about 2–3 minutes from the north entrance of the park, which made it really easy to come and go throughout the day.The cabin is rustic and has very basic amenities. I always bring and plan for the worse on if a place has everything, so that helped us out. We loved using the charcoal grill for meals and spending time on the porch drinking coffee, eating, and playing games when we weren't out exploring. The kids especially loved the large open area around the cabin where they could run and play. We spent our weekend hiking, swimming, and exploring Itasca State Park, and this cabin was the perfect home base.We would absolutely stay here again! It was such a great family getaway, and we could definitely see ourselves making this an annual family tradition. Highly recommend!"

New 3-bedroom lake front cabin with hot tub - 18 miles to Itasca State Park

10/10 Excellent
"What a treat for us three sisters and our mates to spend several days together, especially since two of us live in different areas of VA and the other in MN! Our modern rustic cabin was well thought out, clean, and new. We enjoyed the "just right temperatured" hottub after a full day spent in Itasca State Park. The grill and kitchen provided good opportunities to cook tasty meals. Walking down to Long Lost Lake which is within sight, and hearing a loon and a possible muskrat swimming before sunset, was a memorable experience. And then, spending time wading in the headwaters of the Mississippi River in the Park was such a special treat."

Lakefront Escape with Loft & Summer Bunkhouse — Steps from the Water & Trails!

8/10 Good
"Very clean. Plenty of space for everyone. We had a larger group and were concerned about the 1 bathroom. We managed to make it work without issues or arguments of anyone taking too much time in the bathroom. The washer and dryer was a nice feature as it allowed us to under pack this year. Had a bit of hiccup with the septic being full at the start of our stay - we were on pins and needles until it got emptied. Would be willing to book again."
