A beautiful historic hotel. We had a suite with an amazing view. This area is off the beaten track. A gorgeous area to base yourself. Gorgeous beaches around area and on your way to San Vito lo Capo. Must see: salt pans in Marsala and Trapani, Trapani salt museum, SAN Vito lo Capo and some of the beaches on the way. Maybe if time some of the belvederes and grottos around as well. Only issue with hotel: this area is not very geared to tourism (good and bad) so no food available during siesta time. Restaurants open at 7:30 pm. We like to eat earlier (Canadian). Hotel does not offer laundry service or have little shops. We were off peak time, so maybe more open during summer. Overall it was an amazing place, highly recommend, just be aware of limited food/shopping options.

El hotel es bello, el personal atento y muy profesional, la comida muy buena. La habitación que nos dieron no tenía clóset y el aire acondicionado no funcionaba bien. Solicitamos cambio por lo del A/C. Lo otorgaron a una habitación idéntica pero con clóset (armario) lo cual fue una mejora. Resolvieron, eso es lo que mejor se valora.

Great location, was a little concern about bedding, noise, and overall quality of room based on feedback but was pleasantly surprised with hotel. It is an old hotel, so something aren’t going to be perfect given the age but the location was perfect if you wanted to be close to major sites and restaurants.

We had booked 2 standard rooms almost a year in advance through Expedia- the cost was more than we wanted to spend however the hotel, pool and beach area looked so superior that we decided it would be worth the 487 euros per night, after all we were travelling with our friends both celebrating their 65th Birthdays. We had confirmations that the rooms were indeed booked from June 1- 8 inclusively. Upon arrival on June 1 we were told that the hotel had generously decided to "up grade " us to the 5 star area of the hotel, as standard rooms were situated in an older part of the resort in the 4 star area. It sounded good at the time as we were already quite impressed with the hotel lobby and pool area. The hotel clerk immediately processed our hotel stay for the whole week on our credit cards. Then she took us to see the rooms. The rooms we were taken to were directly outside the front desk under an overhang with a path in front that led to the pool patio area and pool. The rooms were very small, basically the bed filled the room, there were no drawers for clothing and a very small area for hanging clothes and no where to place empty or full luggage. It was also a handicap room with very low fixtures and a pull down seat in the shower. There was no sea view, in fact you would have to have the black out curtains pulled at all times to ensure privacy. When we objected to taking these 2 rooms we were told there were no other rooms available. There was nothing more to be done
