If you are looking for easy access to the beach, this is a great affordable option. The property has been updated but could definitely benefit from further upgrades. Overall, pretty clean except for the floor, very dirty upon check in. Our room had a patio but no chairs so a couple chairs could have been nice. Definitely want to say that the check in experience was excellent. The woman at the front desk was very thorough and welcoming. Great customer service!

Check in is not until four so don’t go early. They tell everyone to come back at 4, so everyone is there at the same time, which would be fine if they had a lobby. It’s one person checking one person in at a time, and a huge line outside. When we got our keys and went up, we were shocked at the conditions for the price. It’s a pet friendly hotel, which I understand, but I didn’t bring a pet. There was dog hair all over everything. The clean linens had dog hair, human hair, and dirty flecks on it. The walls were dirty, the floor had fur balls. The desk had dust on it, the bathroom had toilet paper in the toilet, looked like rotten wood caulked on for trim, and the toilet tank top didn’t even fit the toilet. The decorative pillow had brown stains all over it. It was too dirty for us to stay. We sat on the bed for 5 minutes debating on if we go home or try and find another place at 4:30pm. We were actually able to find a suite at another hotel and paid only 4 dollars more than we did at this place. They keep mentioning construction and speaking to the cleaning staff on their responses, but I honestly think this is just how they are. They were rushing to get rooms cleaned when we arrived. They are not cleaning the rooms properly. We ended up paying for this room and staying somewhere else. I do not recommend this place at all.

Unfortunately I was not able to stay at this property. I didn't even last 5 minutes in the room actually. When I got in, I found it full of dust, literal brown marks of what looked like #2 left in the trash can, and a strong murky musky odor that immediately caused me to cough hard. It was hard to breathe in there. I tried to open the windows but that too was full of dust. This sent me into a severe allergic reaction that forced me to remove my bags and go back to the main office for a full refund. I was still coughing hard and trying to get air as I was talking to her. The person at the main office was very professional, sympathetic, and nice. She issued an inmediate refund with no issues. I did have to scramble to find another property since I was already at the beach. It took me over 24 hours with medication to stop coughing. If you have any allergies from dust, pet dander, and strong odors this is not the property for you. Be wary.

2nd time staying at Seagull Inn with bottom floor preference. Feliz at the Front Desk is utterly fantastic, kind, welcoming, on top of all the customer care and phone call inquiries. Eric was our initial efficient & professional housekeeper with a good sense of humor. We don't prefer to have house keeping services during our full stays as we do clean up after ourselves and bring our own blankets/necessities/snacks. The property is ADA accessible, the outer property has had periods of remodel and there is a smoking section against the rt side wall. Haven't had any issues with vehicle safety, pretty quiet after 10pm outdoors. There's also a drive down/walk down road access to the beach where 4WD vehicles can watch the sunsets near the reef just be aware if you're kiddo's or pets are running around, there are people that drive circles in the sand. Leash your dogs until you're farther down the beach for better safety.

Had a king with hot tub on the balcony, really enjoyed our stay even though it was just a night. Bathroom was questionably clean, but it appeared that rooms were updated recently and maybe bathrooms are next. Also worth noting there is no AC, but overall would stay again!

The towels were clean and the bed was made but the floors were dirty, there were dead bugs in the shower and other places in the bathroom. A screen was missing from a second floor window and it made us nervous to have the window open to help vent the room (no a/c) because we have small kids. We left the motel before 10pm because we did not want to get into the beds.

The view was beautiful & conveniently right on the beach, but for the condition of the property and the price being $350 per night I would expect better amenities and updated/cleaner property both inside and out. It felt a bit like a slightly upgraded Motel 6 with a view. Also had staff knocking at my door at 10am asking if we were leaving yet when check out was at 11am.

Staff we interacted with was very nice and helpful. Room.size was very nice. Unfortunately it was not as clean as i would have axpexted. Not sure if the sheets had actually been changed or if the bed had been remade with used sheets as there were hairs in the bed and spilled liquid spots that look like they would have washed out. Love that we could bring our fur family with us. We did get bit by what I think was fleas, possibly from a previous guest (our dogs were both current on their flea treatments and we had not had any bites previous to visiting the hotel). The view was amazing and beach access nice and close.

We had to clean the bath tub when we checked in there is no maid service. Front desk was very nice but they said the just remolded. But all I seen was a new sink in the bathroom, toilet was coming up from the floor we will not stay again
